Obituary: Genest, Beulah Penny, 95, passed away on 23, 2015, at Tarpon Bayou , Tarpon Springs, Florida, after a long illness. Penny, a longtime resident of Holiday, Florida, and formerly of Boxford, Massachusetts, was born in Andover, Massachusetts in 1920. The youngest of four children, of the late Daisy (French) Dixon and Thomas Dixon, she grew up in Andover, where she attended public schools and graduated from Punchard High School. Penny easily made lifelong friendships while raising her family in Boxford with Paul, her devoted husband of almost 75 years. She was especially loved for her candor, sense of humor, quick wit, and was always ready for a new adventure at a moments notice. She was creative, fun-loving and found happiness in entertaining family and friends. Her many interests included cooking, quilting, needlework, crafting, photography, gardening, dancing, playing the organ, poetry, and reading. Penny was ahead of her generation when it came to technology, downloading favorite books on her Nook and keeping up with her growing family through social media. She was involved in numerous organizations during her life, with the most recent being PROS (Port Richey Organ Society). Throughout Pennys earlier years, she worked in food service for primary schools in both Boxford and Topsfield, Massachusetts. Later, after moving to Florida, she took a position with Olan Mills Studios which helped to nourish her love of photography. Getting away from the hot Florida summers, Penny and Paul became snowbirds and travelled back to New England often. Penny leaves behind her husband, Paul; three daughters, Nancy (Chuck) Mazzeo, Pauline (companion, Robert Skeffington) Lynah, and Dianna (Thomas) Frazier; seven grandchildren, Candy Holley Daniels, Christopher Holley, Thomas Holley, Anthony Mazzeo, Cathy Hartman, Christina Mazzeo, Jeffrey Frazier; and, she was abundantly blessed with 15 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved very much. Penny was predeceased by her siblings, Lester Dixon, Edna Stewart, and Vera Klosowski; and, many treasured friends. Services will be private. The family would like to express deep appreciation to the staff at Tarpon Bayou for their loving and extraordinary care. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There Are No Words By Helen Steiner Rice There are no words ...what can I say? The pain of living grew too great No longer could she stay and wait; She did not want to leave you, dear, But she had finished her work down here. So she closed her eyes and when she awoke, These are the words the Master spoke ... "Welcome, dear child, you are at last, And now the burden of living is past." "There's work for you in My Kingdom, dear And you are needed and wanted here." So weep not, she has just gone on ahead, Don't think of her as being dead. She's out of sight for a little while, And you'll miss her touch and her little smile, But you know she is safe in the home above Where there is nothing but Peace and Love.
