Obituary: Suzanne Gee12/24/2015Fort Myers, Fl. Suzanne H.(Gingras) Gee, 73 left us unexpectedly on 12/24/2015.Born 11,1942 in Becancour, Quebec Canada, to Donat & Simonne Gingras.She lived in Canada until she moved to Boston, Ma. to attend Brighton-Stratton Commercial where she earned her degree. This is where she met her future husband William Gee. married in 1961 and lived in Wilder, Vt. with Bill's parents until they settled in Canaan, N.H, where they had two children, Jay Gee and Kelly Gee. Suzanne was a long time employee of Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital, active in the Canaan Snowmobile Club, helped run the Whaleback Ski Weeks, and loved to spend her Summer's off with her kids.Later, leaving Canaan, she moved to Fort Myers, Fl. Where she has lived for over 30 years. She has made many friends there, and has worked and made friends thru her work.Suzanne was avid animal lover, never living without dogs and/or cats. She loved working in the garden and could always be found planting new things in "her" island where she lived.She left behind her two fur babies, Citrus and Bianca, rescued from the culvert near her work, her son Jay Gee of Boston, Ma. his children, Heather, Hayley and Tyler. Her daughter Kelly (Gee) Loupis and her husband Greg of Hanover, NH. Two sisters, Lise Lavigne and Nica Gingras, a niece and two great nieces all of Montreal, Canada. Visitation will be held at Hodges-Kiser (Cypress Lake Drive (239 481-4341) on , 30, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM with a memorial service following at 3:00 PM with the Rev. Ted Althouse officiating.. Obituary: Leo John Gee, 85 of Summerfield, Florida passed away unexpectedly in Sanford, Fl. on May 30, 2014. Leo was born in Bradford, PA and moved to this area in 1990 from Miami, Fl after retiring from Eastern Airlines after 18 years. Leo was a 21 year veteran of the Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant. He enjoyed model railroads, classic cars, doing home renovations, wood working, photography and loved aviation. Leo is preceded in death by 2 children- son Leo Ray Gee and a daughter Kerri Anne Gee. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years Betty Gee of Summerfield, Fl., son Kim and wife Leann Gee of High Point, NC., son Tory and wife Lori Gee of Ocala, Fl., daughter Trisha Keating of Grimes, IW., brother Francis Babe Gee of Bradford, PA., 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and a host of many friends. There will be a gathering at Roberts s, Downtown Chapel. 606 SW 2nd Ave on Wed, 4th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM all are welcome to come and share with the family. There will be a service honoring and celebrating Leos life on , 5th at 11:00 AM at the Roberts Chapel all are welcome to attend and celebrate with the family. The committal service will be at Florida National with the Air Force rendering honors to Leo. Obituary: John Arthur Gee, aged 69, passed away peacefully at home from an extended illness on , 27. ?His loved ones were at his bedside at passing. John was born in Palm Beach, Florida, on May 31, 1945. ?He spent his formative and many enjoyable years in Casper, Wyoming, where he rode horses on the prairies and was a high school football star. ?He enjoyed trout fishing in the mountain streams ?and became a champion skier and later ski instructor at Taos, New Mexico. Throughout his life, he enjoyed skiing on just about every ski slope in the west and trout fishing in some of the most challenging of streams and rivers. ? John graduated from Miami University at Oxford, Ohio. ?In the early 70's he moved to Tallahassee, Florida, where he earned his teaching degree from Florida State University. ?He had the opportunity to teach at the first desegregated public school in Georgia. ?He later worked at the State of Florida, Department of General Services where he was a personnel administrator. ? He then earned his law degree from FSU. ?John then became Chief Legislative Analyst at the Committee on Natural Resources, The Florida Senate. ?He was proud of the legislation he wrote that led to the protection of the manatee, redfish, the Florida panther, and most importantly, the Florida Everglades. ? his retirement, he and his wife enjoyed multiple travels throughout the world, creating his country paradise at the End of the Road Farm, sharing his vegetables and herbs, and exploring the back roads of north Florida. ?He was an avid FSU football and Braves baseball fan, loved reading, Jeopardy, camping, crossword puzzles, playing poker and mountain biking. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Sally Gee. ?He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Janice Rousseau, brother, Bill (Jane) nephews Jesse and John; sisters, Susie Borchert (Tom), niece Sarah Peterson (Mike) and Hannah and nephew Tommy, Lisa Zimmerman and nephews William and Jason and Jenny Speer (John) and nephew Mike and niece Jessie. ?Other survivors include daughter Wendy Nye and stepdaughters Nicole Johnson and Nadeen Russell, brothers-in-law Ed and Rob Rousseau and sister-in-law Catherine Rousseau, nephews Jon, Matthew and Edwin Rousseau, nieces Cara Rousseau and Christine Stigerwald and host of grand nephews and nieces. ?
