Obituary: Garcia, Luis 66, of Tampa passed away 5, 2014. Luis was devoted to his family, Disney and football. He was a loving father and husband. He was a Buccaneers season ticket holder from the inaugural season, missing only two games until his illness. He was able to take the family to Disneyland and was the most excited kid of the bunch. He loved watching the sunset especially with his family on Anna Maria Island. He graduated from Chamberlin High school and went on to get his BA from St Leo . He was preceded in death by his mother Rosario Rosie Garcia, father Mariano Chone Garcia Jr. , and his brother in law Greg Roberts. Luis is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia Garcia; daughters Melissa Meiczinger (Mike), Jennifer Garcia, and Tiffany Covas (Daniel); his sister Mary Roberts; his grandchildren Zachary Meiczinger, Kylie Meiczinger, and Gabriella Covas, and many loved relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Danny Covas, Richard Diaz, Raymond Facenda, David Garcia, Dan Martinez, Mike Meiczinger, and Manuel Santana. Honorary Pallbearers will be Edward Belmonte, David Futch, Ralph Futch, Joseph Garcia, Steve Garcia, Vincent Greco, Everett Herndon, Henry Lavandera, Joe Lavandera, Ralph Lavandera, Duffy Vanderford, and David Watson. Visitation will be prior to the Mass starting at 10am. A funeral mass will be held , 11th at St Marys Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Centro Español . Donations can be made to Lifepath Hospice, American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice. |

Obituary: Lucille Frances, 92, returned to her heavenly home on , 11, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Creator. Frances was born in San Antonio, TX in 1923. She married the man of her dreams, Freddie Garcia, in of 1945. were lovingly married for 57 years until his death in of 2003. Frances and Freddie made Pensacola their home in 1959 where they raised their seven children. Frances was an active parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She made great contributions of time and energy to the St. Johns Altar Society. She will always be remembered for her active participation in the church Fall Festivals where she and Freddie would be found making and serving their famous tacos. Frances' favorite pastime was her time with family, avidly following the activities and accomplishments of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a source of much joy and laughter to her children and their respective spouses. The greatest accomplishment and joy of her life was her family by whom she is survived: daughter-in-law, Edie Garcia, Paul (Angela) Garcia, Belinda (Tim) Scarbrough, Anthony Garcia, Lucy (Chris) Sennett, Judy (Richard) La Bounty, Carlos (Pam) Garcia, along with her 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Freddie Garcia, Sr. and son, Fred Garcia, Jr. Visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on , 14, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 6:30 pm. A Celebration of Her Life ( Mass) will be held on , 15, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Johns with Fr. John Licari presiding. Burial will follow in Barrancas National . A reception will follow the services. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to her dedicated caregivers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Johns the Evangelist Catholic Church or Pensacola Catholic High School. |

Obituary: GARCIA, Louis Coach, 86, of Valrico, FL, died on 23, 2015. Coach Garcia was predeceased by his parents Luis and Carmen Garcia and is survived by his wife Mary Garcia, sons Louis A. Garcia, William M. Garcia (Pennye) and Anthony J. Garcia (Donna), grandchildren Nick, Sam, Kara, Michael, Kristi, Halle and great grandchildren Kaylee, Gavin and Ellie. Coach Garcia was Catholic by faith; was a Teacher in Hillsborough for 30 years; a U.F. basketball & baseball player; guided 1970 Colt League All-Stars to 2nd in the world, guided 1975 Pony League All-Stars to 5th in the world, coached Baseball at Robinson High to win state runner-up in 1969 & Champions in 1971; coached baseball at HCC for 9 years; played semi-pro Intersocial League & won state title 7 times & 2nd in the world; in 1977 he lead Team Tampa Smolkers to 7th in the world and won state title; he was a professional baseball scout for the N.Y. Yankees, Cubs &Royals; inducted into the hall of fame in Hillsborough H.S. and in 2006 Robinson H.S. dedicated the baseball field to him.
