Obituary: Florinda Flo Gaon, 39, of Jacksonville, Florida went to be with our Lord on , 10, 2015 after a valiant battle with colon cancer. Florinda was born to Florante and Bernardita Gaon in Olongapo City, Philippines on May 30, 1976. With Florindas late father being in the military, she spent most of her childhood years overseas in Italy where she built lasting friendships and extended her family with people from around the globe. It always gave her great joy to stay in touch and get together with old friends, but her son and family were her world. She loved them and took pride in raising her son, Indi, on her own. Florinda cherished every moment with her family and did her best to make every memory extra special with her thoughtfulness and extraordinary touch. She enjoyed doing things with the special people in her life and appreciated the simple things whether it be watching a movie, girls night out or traveling. Florinda was a one of a kind, amazing and beautiful soul. She was well respected and adored by family, friends and colleagues. Her positive, cheerful and fun spirit made her such a blessing to be around. Her down to earth personality and infectious bright smile made her presence captivating wherever she was and instantly admired and loved by everyone. Florinda was always so thoughtful, caring and embodied selfless love. She always put others first before herself even to the very end. She is dearly missed by so many loved ones, who celebrate that she is no longer in pain but instead at peace and reunited with both her earthly and heavenly father. Florinda is survived by Bernardita Gaon (mother), Indravar Patel (son), Bernadette and Cliff Overstreet (sister and brother-in-law), Olivia and Tatiana Overstreet (nieces) along with family and friends. Florinda is preceded in death by Florante Gaon (father). The visitation and funeral services will be held at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills , 850 St. Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. The visitation is on , 14, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on , 15, 2015 at 9:00 am. and will be officiated by Father Rafael Lavilla. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Florindas life. |

Obituary: Edward Francis Ganzekaufer, age 70 of Oldsmar, Florida died unexpectedly on 21, 2015 while on vacation with his wife, Maryella Ganzekaufer, in Bonaire. He was born on 19, 1944. Ed is survived by his loving wife, his children, Nicole and David, his son-in-law Michal Dziegielewski, and his grandchildren, Sonja Maria and Luca Francis. Ed was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He married Maryella Tormos on 16, 1972 and they enjoyed 43 happy years together. Ed was an avid fisherman, hunter and in his retirement he enjoyed extensive travels and made it to 25 countries and many states across the U.S. Ed was a loving, kind and compassionate man. He had a zest for life and a great sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. Ed was born on 19, 1944 in New York City. He was the fourth child of Joseph Ganzekaufer and Kathleen Flatley. He served his country in the United States Army where he received medals for good conduct and as a marksman. During his service, he received his GED from the United States Armed Forces Institute. Upon completion of his service he applied to the New York City Police Department (NYPD) where he served for 10 years, completing his service as an undercover officer in the Organized Crime Control Bureau (OCCB). While working as a police officer, Ed put himself through college and received his Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science and Criminal Justice from the New York Institute of Technology. Following his tenure in the NYPD, he joined the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) where he first served on ladder 163 and on engine 325 before transferring to ladder 127 and engine 298. Ed also served as an instructor for new FDNY recruits at the Training on Welfare Island. Ed was dedicated to community service and spent his life in service to others. He especially enjoyed his involvement with the Boy Scouts of America where he served for many years as a volunteer leader and as the Scout Master of Troop 413. A memorial service is scheduled for , 28, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Sylvan Abbey located at 2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL 33759.
