Obituary: Edward Lawrence Girouard, 75, of Milliken, died , 4, 2016 at St. Mary-Corwin Medical in Pueblo. He was born on 20, 1940 in Norwalk, Connecticut to Edward Napolean Girouard and Edith Gertrude Leavitt. Edward was raised and educated in Connecticut. He entered the US Navy in 1957 and serving until 1977, when he retired. Edward was a very straight forward type man. He loved to cook and bake for his family and friends. Edward was a Jack of All Trades. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend to many. He will be missed and held forever in the hearts of his family. Edward is survived by his sister, Loretta Marie Roff of Milliken; brother, Richard Herbert (Virginia) Girouard of Trumbull, Connecticut and nephews, Edward L. (Evelyn) Steeves of Bay Point, California, Raymond H. Jr. (Caroline) Steeves of Pahrump, Nevada, Lawrence M. Steeves of Reno, Nevada, Johnny G. Poston of Ceres, California and Richard Girouard of Trumbull. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Jannette (McGrew) Girouard. Private services will be held. She is preceded in death by husband Ernest Giron, her parents Josephina and Ebaristo Fonseca; siblings Max Fonseca, Domingo Fonseca, Elaine Liscano, infant daughter Marie. She is survived by sons Ernest Jr. (Norma ), Larry (Bea), Danny (Rose), Jack Giron; daughters JoAnn Medina, Kathy Rodriguez, Sandra (Julian) Madrid, Bernice Rivera , 19 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great, great grandchildren; siblings Mariano Fonseca, Mary Aragon; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Anna was born on 13, 1924 in Salamanca, Guanajuato. Anna was a loving wife to her husband Ernie of 69 years. were married on 2, 1946 in Mitchell, Nebraska. She lived her life caring for others. She was a CNA for 20 years, and she provided loving care to her elderly patients. Anna loved the Lord and she encouraged her children and grandchildren to have a relationship with God. Our family is blessed beyond measure to have had such a loving and kind mother and grandmother. We were inspired by her deep faith in God which remained with her. She showed us the true meaning of family. Her wonderful sense of humor and wit brought us joy. All her children are thankful to have had the opportunity to give a little back of what she gave so freely; love. She will remain in our hearts forever. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. |
