Obituary: LeRoy Gibbons III LeRoy Gibbons III, Lee, beloved patriarch, father, educator, musician, and friend passed quietly morning 30, 2008. He was 70. His passing came, after a ten year struggle with Parkinsons disease. He is survived by his loving eternal companion Lorene Donna Porter Gibbons, his children: Donna Lee Gibbons (Jeff Hendershot) of Lehi, Utah; Donald LeRoy Lee Gibbons (Annette Smoot Gibbons) of Orem, UT; Barry Alan Gibbons (Lucie Wood Gibbons) of Bountiful, Utah; Felicia Anne Gibbons Wolfe (Thomas Christian Wolfe) of Petaluma, CA; Tricia Dawn Gibbons Reynolds (Smith Reynolds) of Fountain Valley, CA, Sara Denae Gibbons Cook (Peter Cook) of Highland, Utah; also by his sisters: Sandi Gibbons of Prescott, AZ; Beverly Jenkins (Douglas Jenkins) of Orem, and Valerie Colligen (James Colligen) of Prescott, AZ; twenty-eight grand children and two great grand children. He is preceded in death by two sons, Michael Wayne Gibbons and Joseph Richey Gibbons (Tami Holker Gibbons Schlappi), and a grandson, Robbie Lee Gibbons (Son of Rich and Tami), daugther-in-law Kristin Tingey Gibbons (Lee Gibbons)and his sister Amy OConnor of Peoria, AZ. A master teacher and constant learner, Lee received his Ph.D. of Education Administration from Brigham Young University. His legacy is centered in music and leadership. Well known for his musical abilities as an educator, performer, composer, and arranger, he performed with The Gibbons Family singing group. Additionally, he led and taught in his unique, elevating way, groups ranging from elementary, Jr. high, and high school bands, orchestras, and choirs to the BYU Young Ambassadors. He participated as member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for nearly twenty years. Lee directed the BYU Alumni Association where he led the Excellence in the 80s campaign and participated in raising the money for the renovation and expansion of the Lavell Edwards Stadium. He worked in the LDS Foundation and was Director of Development at Waterford School in Sandy, Utah and for a year, up to the point of being diagnosed with Parkinsons disease, as the Vice President of Development at Utah State University. All who knew him will miss his rare combination of wit, warmth, creative brilliance, intellect and class. services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on 4, 2008, at the LDS Chapel located at 1875 N. 280 W. Orem, Utah. Family and friends may call evening, from 7-9 p.m. 3rd, at the Walker Sanderson at 646 East 800 North, Orem, Utah and morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Obituary: Kevin Gibbons 1956 ~ 2011 Love is a journey, not a destination. Kevin Gibbons was born on 25, 1956 in Oakland, California, to parents Donna and Travis Gibbons. He passed away on 9th, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Kevin was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, son, and Physical Therapist. He was a generous man with a passion for family, friends, motorcycles, boating and living life to the fullest. Kevin grew up in San Jose, California, and graduated from Blackford High School in 1975. He earned a B.S. degree in Physical Education from San Jose State University, a B.S. degree in Physical Therapy Northwestern University, and a Master of Science Degree from the University of Arizona. He was a sincere and compassionate Physical Therapist, who was respected by his colleagues and patients. Kevin married his soul mate, Cindy Mangelson, on the beach in St. Thomas 4, 2009. He is survived by his wife; and children Kyle Gibbons, Bryan Gibbons, Alicia Hodges (Cameron Hodges), Guyla Larson, and 3 grandchildren. Also survived by his father, Travis Gibbons, brother, Eric Gibbons, and sister, Lisha Sivihok. services with be held at noon , 17, 2011 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Obituary: Ila Zemp Gibb Our sweet mother, grandmother, great-grandmother & friend passed away suddenly on , 11, 2010, in Provo, of causes incident to age. Ila was born 22, 1919, in Cardston, Alberta, Canada, to Charles Joseph and Mary Maude Leavitt Zemp. She was the youngest of six children. She married Kenneth Gibb in the Alberta Temple on 25, 1942. spent many happy years in Canada, California and Utah. Utah being home for the past 40 + years. Kenneth died in 1984 Ila started her successful career in real estate, selling many homes and acquiring properties. Ilas love of the Savior was shown daily to all who knew her. She truly exemplified Christ like love to all her family and friends. She loved to travel and see the world, she loved to study the scriptures, she loved genealogy, but most of all she loved her family and friends, whom she was connected to daily through e-mail, facebook, Skype, and her cell phone. She was organized, generous, loving and thoughtful. She will be missed by her four children Marilyn (Dave) Anderson, Ronald (Carolyn) Gibb, Lorraine (Mark) Christensen, Charles (Rebecca) Gibb. Obituary: Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Dale A. Giauque, 80, died , 19th in Bountiful of causes related to age. Dale was born in Salt Lake City 27th, 1936 on the kitchen table at his home. His father, Clarence, died when Dale was 12. He was raised with the help of a loving mother, Grace, and his adopted family, the Bates family, from the neighborhood. Dale developed a love of the outdoors, especially hunting, and spent many joyous times in the Utah mountains. He attended East High School in Salt Lake City, where he took part in many activities, including playing clarinet in the band. He earned his Associates degree from Weber State . He served a Stake mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Salt Lake University West Stake. Dale married Ann Kooyman on 27th 1962. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Dale served for a time in the Air Force Reserve and worked various jobs in construction before beginning his career at the Weber Basin Job Corps. During his career, he counseled with and taught vocational skills to young people involved in the program, doing everything from carpentry to freeway construction, to forest campground construction to wild-land fire-fighting. He was able to use his love of the outdoors in guiding students through survival treks through the wilderness. For years, he worked as a counselor in the program and retired as the Director of the Work Department. He also spent some time working with the Youth Conservation Corps. During his more than four decades at work, Dale touched many lives. Dale was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in many callings, including in young men and scouting. He was an enthusiastic scouter and served on several Woodbadge courses with some of his dearest friends. He loved attending church and especially loved the camaraderie of his wards High Priests quorum. Nearly every in recent years, he could be seen driving his motorized wheel chair down the hill from his house to attend meetings. He was a man of quiet service, always willing to help a neighbor, friend or a stranger, but never comfortable accepting praise or thanks. Throughout most of his life, he was a big man with a deep commanding voice that was rarely raised. He had a gentle loving spirit that earned love and admiration in return. He loved his family and was a devoted husband, father and grand-father. He lit up when receiving a hug from a grandchild and loved to attend their events and follow their progress. He is survived by his wife Ann, sons Scott ( ), and Marc (Sherilyn) and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence, mother Grace, brother Warren and sister Carolyne. A viewing is scheduled for , 24th from 6-8pm at the Bountiful 53rd LDS Church, 1356 North 650 East, Bountiful UT, and on , 25th from 11:30am-12:30pm. A funeral will be held , 25th, at the same church at 1pm. Interment is at at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park in Salt Lake City.
