Obituary: Col. (Ret.) Frank H. Grossman, 91, passed away suddenly on 22, 2016. He was born 19, 1925 in Rocheport, Missouri, the eldest of four children of Frank D. Grossman and Marjorie Welbern Grossman. He is survived by his eternal sweetheart of 68 years, Helen (Sandelowitz) Grossman. have two daughters, Barbara J. Cannon and Linda M. Grossman, and three granddaughters, Sasha C. Farmer, Cameron G. Cler, and Austen C. Grossman. He is also survived by two siblings, Anne Frevert and Donald Grossman, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his brother, James Grossman. Frank entered the Air Force at age 18, and served his country through three wars, WWII, Korea, & Vietnam. He flew over 100 reconnaissance missions during the Korean War, and he received many honors and medals during his illustrious career, including three Legion of Merit Awards. His friends knew him as an excellent golfer, having achieved nine holes in one in his lifetime. His family knew him as a loving, generous, man of utmost integrity who always put his family first. Obituary: GUS MARTIN GROSSKOPF passed away at age 89 on 2, 2014. Gus was born in Travis on 2, 1925 to William Grosskopf and Bertha Engelmann Grosskopf. He graduated from Austin High School in 1942. He volunteered for the Army Air Force at 18 and earned his pilots wings in 1944. Gus flew 24 combat missions in B-25s to Borneo and the Philippines. discharge from the Air Force in 1946, he met Carolyn Neffendorf on a blind date and they were married in 1947 and were blessed with two sons, Bill and Jack. Gus worked for about a year at a typesetting shop before entering the military service and again after his discharge. In 1955 he and Carolyn established their own business, G&S Typesetters. completing engineering degrees at the University of Texas, both sons chose to join their parents in a family corporation that eventually had as many as 140 employees. 50 years, Gus and Carolyn retired, and the family sold their company in 2005. For over 60 years Gus was an active member, supporter, and regular attendee of St. Martins Lutheran Church. He served on the Church Council, as a Boy Scout leader, and with a group of volunteers (Mop & Hammer) that built furniture and provided a variety of church repairs. Gus was a gifted craftsman who loved working with his hands and mind to plan and create. He enjoyed woodworking, but could build anything from any type of material. Gus used his talents in service of others by building or repairing innumerable pieces of furniture for family, church, and friends and for doing repairs for those who needed his help. Gus was preceded in death by his parents and sister (Mary Louise Jones) and his grandson (Steve Grosskopf). He is survived by family who loved him dearly: his wife, Carolyn; his two sons, Bill and Jack; their wives, Connie and Karen; grandchildren, Keith Grosskopf, Alyssa Martin, Ryan Grosskopf, Eric Grosskopf, John Pushnik, and Kyle Kabel; Keiths wife, Molly; Alyssas husband, Garrett; Erics wife, Erin; Johns wife, Alisa, and great-grandchildren, Oliver and Stella Martin and Siobhanin Pushnik. In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to consider donations to the St. Martins Lutheran Church Endowment Fund, a recipient of many gifts from Gus and Carolyn. Obituary: Roy Grosshans, 90, of San Angelo, died , 25, 2015, at his home. He was born to the late Walter and Louise Grosshans in Runnels on 28, 1925. Roy served in the U.S. Navy before returning home to marry the love of his life, Reba Jenkins, on 10, 1946, in Miles, Texas. Roy began farming at that time and later went to work for Monarch Tile Manufacturing, where he retired after 30 years. Roy and Reba lived in San Angelo for the rest of his life. Roy was a member of Day Memorial Methodist Church, where he loved serving his Lord, serving as a board member and providing maintenance for the church. Roy and Reba moved their memberships to First United Methodist Church when Day Memorial closed, where they attended as long as they were physically able. Roy was passionate about activities with his family, including camping, fishing and family reunions. He was an avid reader and loved reading about history. Roy is survived by his wife of 69 years, Reba, daughter Ruth Abbott, and son Bruce Grosshans and wife Vicki, all of San Angelo. He is also survived by two grandsons, Rodney Abbott and wife Wendy, and Randy Abbott and wife Robin, as well as a granddaughter, Leslie Porter and husband Steven. In addition, he is survived by ten great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by all his brothers and sisters, as well as his granddaughter, Ginger Grosshans. Friends may call at Johnsons for viewing. The family will receive friends for the Visitation 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Graveside Service will be held 2:00 PM , 30, 2015, at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Barbara Dyke officiating. Obituary: F.P. Grosshans Jr., of San Angelo, went to be with his Lord and Savior on , Jan. 26, 2015 in San Angelo. F.P. was born 31, 1937 in San Angelo, Texas, to Florence P. and Ethel Walden Grosshans. He grew up in San Angelo and after high school served his country honorably by serving in the United States Army National Guard. F.P. then travelled to numerous cities for work and finally settled back in San Angelo. He worked in sales most of his life and in later years was the owner of Creative Concrete making Statuary and Stepping Stones before retiring in 1996. F.P. married Brenda Easterly on Aug. 23, 1985 in San Angelo and they were blessed with 29 wonderful years together. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who devoted his life to his family and friends as well. He was also a devoted member of Johnson Street Church of Christ and loved his church family. F.P. had a few other passions in life and they included cars, driving fast, gardening and cooking and he especially loved people. What he wanted to be remembered by the most was that ""He loved people and loved life!"" F.P. will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Paul Grosshans. F.P. is survived by his wife, Brenda Grosshans, of San Angelo; daughters Becky Agnew and husband Burr of San Angelo, Janet LeJeune and husband Warrren, of Witchita Falls and Michelle Levy, of Waco; grandchildren Bryan, John Charles, Chase, Sady, Ryan, Devin, Kristen, Jeff, Lauren, Dalton and Karleigh; five great-grandchildren, Felicity, Brooklyn, Morgan, Tinleigh, and Slayde, ; sister Fairy Hite, of Katy; brother Kenneth Grosshans, of Monahans; and numerous other family members and close friends. Pallbearers for the service will be Bryan Chambers, Dalton Levy, David Davis, Jeff Grosshans, Jared Keenum and Blayne Glatter. service is at 2 p.m. , Jan. 29, 2015, at Johnson Street Church of Christ in San Angelo with Tommy King officiating.
