Obituary: Linda Lea Granger, 65, of Liberty, went to be with our Lord and Savior 23, 2014. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She lived a life dedicated to the Lord. She was a licensed cosmetologist for 45 years. She was a giver. She could always make people laugh. When she loved you, you knew you were loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Granger and Velma Granger Desormeaux; great nephew, Jeremy Thomas; uncle, Gene Broussard. She is survived by her daughters, Misty Dawn Abalos and husband Frank of Winnie and Michelle Vaughn and husband of Millard of Douglas, TX; grandchildren, Autumn Bertrand and husband Taylor of Winnie, Leah Abalos of Winnie, Justin Vaughn of Douglas and Jaydon Vaughn of Douglas; great grandchild Emma Taylor Bertrand of Winnie; step-dad, Francis Desormeaux of Anahuac; sisters, Georgene Grounds of Corsicana, Judy Compton of Hardin and Lisa Ruddick and husband Kenneth of LaPorte; aunt, Beulah Broussard of Florida; nieces and nephews, Tammy Kay Manuel of Hardin, Wayne Olin Manuel of Washington, Jessica Dequent and husband Zach of LaPorte, Brandy Morace of Beaumont, Greg Ruddick of Wichita Falls, Mike Ruddick of Washington, Kimberly Sullivan of Austin, great nephew, Jaret Thomas of Hardin, great niece, Loren Manuel and numerous great nieces and great nephews and other family. Obituary: Jo Ann Granger loving wife and mother passed away peacefully on , 10, 2016 at the age of 75. Jo Ann was born 18, 1940 in Stigler, Oklahoma to parents Leonard and Beatrice Crowder. Jo Ann enjoyed shopping, entertaining, singing, decorating and making new friends, she loved listening to the Gaithers and the proudest moments of her life were the birth of her children and grandchild. She loved them to the moon and back. Jo Ann worked over 20 years as a secretary for Ft. Sam Houston Elementary School. Jo Ann married her loving husband Gerald Granger at the age of 18. Jo Ann is preceded in death by her parents. Jo Ann is survived by her husband of 57 years Gerald Granger, sister Mary Jo Gaesseler, brother David Crowder. Jo Ann is also survived by her sons Gary Neal Granger, Randall Lee Granger and his wife Lisa Michelle and grandson Gordon Thomas. Visitation will take place at Sunset 13, 2016 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Obituary: Ethel Mae Granger departed this life 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at The Gardens Altus Hospice in Beaumont, Texas at 83 years of age. Ethel was the youngest of two children born to Nathan and Bennie Dean Loving-Granger on 25, 1933 in Rayne, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by both parents. The family moved to Port Arthur in the late 1930s when Ethel was young. Ethel attended Lincoln High School from Kindergarten through 12th grade graduating in 1954. graduating high school, Ethel went to work at Saint Mary Hospital (Christus) where she remained for over forty (40) years. She received a Certificate Achievement in medical record keeping and medical library keeping from The Geriatric School, Port Arthur , and The American Medical Records Association. Ethel worked in the Medical Records department for several years and transferred to the Medical Library department where she remained until her retirement. Ethel was a former member of the Citizen Police Academy, Neighborhood Watch Group and a member of AARP Experience Corps where she tutored elementary students. Ethel became Catholic at a young age joining Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she attended for several years until she and her family transferred to St. John Mission which later became St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church . She was a member of the Parish Finance Council; the Parish Council, the Choir; an original member of St. John Krewe of Aurora, and was an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. Ethel leaves behind to cherish her memories her sister, Rose Granger of Port Arthur, TX; special cousins, Nettie Clark, Charlotte A Clark and Bryce J. Clark of Missouri City, TX; two Aunts, Goldie Anderson, of Port Arthur, TX and Mary Harrison of Rayne, LA; a good friend, Timothy Hill of Port Arthur, TX; Roselyn Vertil and the staff of Serenity of Beaumont, TX; her Parish family and a host of family, friends and neighbors. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., , 22, 2017, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Mark Thomas Ameh, officiating under the direction of Grammier-Oberle . Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. |
