Obituary: NORBERT CHRISTIAN GLOYNA , 93, entered into his eternal rest of his Lord and Savior on 8, 2015 . He was born on 26, 1922, in Dime Box, Texas to Ernst and Hulda Siegmund Gloyna. He was baptized on 10, 1922 and confirmed on May 21, 1937 at St. John Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Texas and has been a faithful member of Epiphany Lutheran Church since 1984. He was united in marriage to Lorine Kieschnick Gloyna on 25, 1944. Norbert served in the Army Air Corp in WWII as an aircraft engineer for B-24 Liberator airplanes in Halesworth, England. the war, he and his bride, Lorine, resided in Houston where he was worked as a machinist and drywall contractor before starting his own residential home construction company, Norbert C. Gloyna Builder, Inc. Norbert worked alongside his wife, Lorine, for over 50 years in the home building business, finally building his last home and entering retirement in 2002. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lorine; parents, Ernst & Hulda; brothers, Herbert, Erwin, and Clarence; sisters, Amanda Laake and Ella Gloyna.He is survived by his son, Dr. Robert Gloyna and daughter-in-law, Penny Ross Gloyna; daughter, Mary Campbell and son-in-law, Philip Campbell; grandchildren,Ross and Shelly Gloyna, Lucy Gloyna, Earl Attebury, and Jason and Lisa Campbell; great grandchildren, Milana and Robbie Gloyna; sister-in-laws, Evelyn Gloyna and Ruth Gloyna and numerous nephews and nieces. Norbert wore many hats. He was a loving and dedicated son, brother, soldier, husband, friend, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Norbert had an innate love of the outdoors. He loved being outside and found peace in the outdoors, whether he was building homes, fishing, barbecuing, working at the family farm in Giddings, gardening, yard work, or any other number of outside tasks/activities. You could often times find Norbert and Lorine on fishing trips, fishing and working together to clean and cook their days catch. Norbert was known for his prowess on the BBQ pit. Norbert and Lorine appreciated the correlation that full stomachs equaled a happy family. Norbert and Lorine were known for their fried catfish, ribs, German potato salad, noodles, cornbread, pecan pie, homemade bread, and too many other dishes to name. By far though, Norberts number one love was his family. He instilled in his family the importance of God, family, kindness/service to others, and education. He regaled his family with numerous stories detailing his service to his country and service to his family, friends, and fellow man. This dedication to service to ones country was followed by his son, Robert, and grandchildren, Ross and Jason. Though Norbert did not achieve a high school diploma, he emphasized the importance of education to his children and grandchildren. Norberts dedication to education followed in the awarding of numerous degrees, including a Doctorate, several Masters degrees, and numerous Bachelors degrees, to his children and grandchildren. The family would also like to express their gratitude for the loving care and spiritual strength given to Norbert by Cameo givers: Flora, Carol, Linda, Cecelia, Danell and Suzanne; and Memorial Herman Hospice . Obituary: Dennis Ray Gloyna, was born to Willie Ernest Gloyna, Sr. and Olga Frances Truet in Cameron, Texas on 10, 1950. He passed away 12, 2014 at his home in Station. Dennis was a man of many interests and talents in his lifetime. He was a carpenter with his father and brother and they built many homes in the Station area. On 9, of 1984 he joined the Bryan Fire Department where he rose to the rank of Apparatus Operator before he made a career change to Bryan Independent School District in Distribution Services in 1999 where he continued to work until his death. Dennis and Judy were dedicated Aggies and they never missed a Bonfire or home Aggie game. Dennis enjoyed Fourth of celebrations with lots of fireworks with his family and he was a dedicated and loving Paw-Paw to his grandchildren. In 2003, Dennis became a dedicated and powerful advocate for Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD). His testimonials affected the lives of many young people in the community for the better. Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Sr. & Olga Gloyna; wife, Judy Zanek Gloyna; brother, Willie Gloyna Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and V.T. Haggard; and father-in-law, Edgar Zanek. Those left behind to cherish his memory include his daughter and son-in-law, Amy Gloyna Alvarado and Jason Alvarado of Station; grandchildren, Alexis, Ashlynn and Ian Alvarado; mother-in-law, Doris Zanek of Bellville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Heather Zanek of Bryan, sister-in-law, Sherry Gloyna of Caldwell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Chapel in Station. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. 16 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Msgr. John McCaffrey officiating. Pallbearers will include Jason Alvarado, Anthony Alvarado, Nicholas Alvarado, Marc McFeron, Jessie Terry, and Jim Zanek. Obituary: Alvin Al Robert Gloyna Jr., 82, of Plano, TX went home to our Lord and Savior on 16, 2016. Al leaves his beloved wife of 25 years, Sharon (Schnitzmeyer); his children Rob Gloyna, Terri Gloyna, and Marty Gloyna; his step-sons Jimmy Stout and Tim Stout and his wife Kristen; his 6 grandchildren Thelonious, Tyler, Allysa, Tres, Davis, and Jake; his sister Geneva Gloyna Manning; and his loving schnauzer and friend, Schotzy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Ollie Gloyna and Gertrude (Graf) Gloyna and his sister, Clarene Gloyna Ahrens. He was born 28, 1933 in Vernon, Wilbarger Co, TX. Even though he would grow to be 6 2, he was known as Junior growing up. He was a good farm boy and helped raise cotton, alfalfa, sorghum, and peanuts. Junior often rode his horse to the Five-in-One High School, Vernon, TX where he was active in sports. Five-in-One would later become Lockett High School from which he graduated in 1950. He went on to attend Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX and Arlington State University, Arlington, TX. He worked for Texas Instruments for more than 30 years before retiring. Al was an Elder, on the usher team, and very active at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church where he also organized a group to play dominoes. One of his most rewarding jobs was visiting home-bound church members where he listened, offered comfort and administered private communion. He made such a difference to so many. He loved learning about history and new cultures, traveling to many places around the world, including Egypt, England, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, and Japan. He loved the Texas Rangers, dominoes, horses, and watching car and horse shows. Al played SkipBo daily with Sharon; they were evenly matched. Out of 521 games, he was ahead by 4. He is taking the championship with him. A memorial service will take place on , 22, 2016 at 10 am at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4000 Midway, Carrollton.
