Obituary: Ruth Stiba Geist passed away on , 6, 2011. Ruth was born the second of six children on 3, 1923, in Rices Crossing, Texas near Taylor. As the oldest daughter, she helped care for the younger children. She graduated from Coupland High School and Nixon Clay Business School. She worked for several banks including Austin National and Texas State then retired from the City of Austin Tax Appraisal office after several years of service. She was given the nickname Toots by her brother John, a name that would stick for the rest of her life. She enjoyed dancing throughout her life and still took a twirl on the dance floor with her long-time friends up until the final weeks of her life. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and her family loved her! She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Geist; her brothers John Stiba and Ernest Stiba, Sr.; and a sister Thelma Boudny. Ruth leaves behind to cherish her memory her sisters Lydia Kaspar and Inez Schrader and husband Don; and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be nephews Ernest Stiba, Jr., Alfred Boudny, Jr., Alan Boudny, Alton Boudney, Steve Schrader, Mike Schrader, Wayne Schrader and Michael Schrader II. Honorary Pallbearers are nieces Kathy Waters, Janice Weber, Carol Bullion, Debbie Lange, Sharon Talasek, Vicky Porterfield, and Jeanie Postell. For the last eight years, she has resided independently at Englewood Estates with much love and assistance from her sister Inez Schrader. Special thanks to the staff of Englewood and especially Teresa with Elder Assist. We will miss you Aunt Toots! |

Obituary: Eileen K. Geissler Sandy, age 71, passed away in her home on 12, 2016. Sandy was born in Washington D.C. to COL Gregory and Eileen (Donnelly) Keenan and was the youngest of three daughters. She graduated from Texas Womens University with a degree in Occupational Therapy. She then joined the USAF Reserves where she served at Wilford Hall hospital and was honorably discharged as a First Lieutenant. She married Wallace Hugh Bill Geissler, Jr. in 1969 and her only child, Wallace Hugh Wally Geissler, III was born in 1971. divorcing Bill, Sandy worked for the next 35 years as an OTR for the Veterans Administration and many other rehabilitation clinics throughout Texas. She retired from the VA last year. Her hobbies included making pottery, knitting and spoiling her grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters, Gail Eigel and Josephine Chappel, her son Wally, daughter-in-law Ashley (Guidry) and her three grandchildren, Jacob, Owen and Ainsley. A rosary will be held at St. Lukes church on , 22, 2016 at 10 AM . The memorial service will be held at St. Luke's church on , 22, 2016 at 11 AM followed by a reception. The burial will be on , 24, 2016 at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi, TX where she will be laid to rest beside her parents. under the direction of Crawford-Bowers , Temple, TX. |

Obituary: Crisalida Geissler was born to Angel Lopez and Ester Nunez in Tampico, Mexico on 10, 1929 and went to be with the Lord on 16, 2016 at 8:15am. She was the youngest of 19 children in which only 6 survived. She was an adventurer at heart who left home at age 17 to come to the United States on her own. She worked several ranch jobs before securing long-term employment as a nanny for a rich Hispanic family in Harlingen, TX. When she was 19 years old she accepted Jesus into her life as her Savior, it would be the most significant day of her entire life. In 1961 after her parents passed away she returned home to Tampico and took it upon herself to care for her nephew Benjamin who had lived with Crisalida’s parents since he was a little child. She was 35 years old and had never been married. She brought Benjamin to the United States to give him a better life and care for him as her own. As the years went by Ben eventually moved to Ft. Worth, TX and was married. She followed her nephew to Ft. Worth and took a job in the food industry where she would finally meet the love of her life, Fredi Geissler. Fredi was from Switzerland and had also left home at an early age to travel the world. completing chef school and traveling from Switzerland to Barbados and then the U.S., he became a chef at TCU where the two met. Fredi was a man of little words but big in actions. One day a friend from work called her to ask if she was coming into work, she replied, “No, the busses are not running today due to the snow”. In reply her friend said, “Well the chef is waiting for you, look outside your window”. It was at that moment that her storybook romance would begin. Within a year they had traveled to Oklahoma and were married. Since Fredi was an International Master Chef, he would travel nationwide to compete in competitions. He was a master at his trade and a grand winner in every competition he would compete in. Wherever Fredi was you could be sure to find his sweetheart Crisalida right by his side. traveled not only for his job but for hers too. Crisalida had found her own way to shine. She was known nationwide as one of the best Avon Representatives and won many awards throughout her lifetime. Besides Fredi and work, one of her biggest passions in life would have been her cats. To say that she was an avid animal lover would be a huge understatement. She had an enormous heart for animals and when she would find an injured animal she would nurse it back to health when needed. Even though she loved her animals she loved her family just as much and was always ready to lend a hand. Crisalida never had children of her own but she was a mother and grandmother to many. She lived a wonderful life and touched many lives along the way, she will be greatly missed! |

Obituary: Robert Max Bobby Geisler died , 18, 2003 after a brief illness. He was born on 1, 1926 in San Antonio Texas, the son of Arthur and Thekla Geisler. He served in the United States Navy, and graduated from Trinity University with a Bachelor of Music Degree and MasterÂs Degree in Administrative Education. He had his own dance band for thirteen years, and has been principal trumpet with the San Antonio Symphony. Geisler was band director at Kenedy, South San Antonio, Burbank, Randolph and Roosevelt High Schools where his bands were consistent U.I.L. ÂSweepstakes winners, and principal at Randolph Elementary and Churchill High Schools. He was a charter member of Texas Bandmasters Association and became its president in 1962. He was elected to the American School Band Directors Association in 1961 and to the Texas Bandmasters Hall of Fame in 1992. Geisler was Educational Director of Southern Music , and has had published over seventy compositions for band and solo instruments. He was a Deacon at Trinity Baptist Church and The Fellowship of San Antonio. Bobby Geisler is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-two years, Ann, two sons, Robert Michael and Daniel Mark, granddaughter, Lilla Kathleen, brother, Arthur, and brother- and sister-in-law, Eugene Howard and Mary Duane Dawson. |
