Bobbie was a LPN with Union Medical and retired from Conagra as the El Dorado plant nurse. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years Virgil B. Gatheright, her sister Otis Womack and brothers Harold, and Cyrus Bo Faulkner. Obituary: Graveside services for Virginia Louise Hawkins Gatewood, 94, are scheduled for 11am, , 8, 2017, at Rose Hill with the Rev. David Luckenbach officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill under direction of Lloyd James , Tyler. Mrs. Gatewood passed away at home peacefully in the presence of her Lord on 1, 2017. Virginia Louise was born in a, Kansas on 13, 1922 to the late James and Gladys Hawkins. She graduated from Mattoon High School in Mattoon, Illinois in 1940. Then she attended and graduated from Gulf Park in Gulfport, Mississippi in 1942. She subsequently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois in 1944. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James F. Gatewood. married 3, 1947. She lived a wonderful life in Tyler since 1977. Mrs. Gatewood was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and Willow Brook Country Club. She is also a long time member of Quairo Literary Club (1981) and Deck Club. Her favorite companion in later years was her bichon frise T. Texas Tyler. For thirty years, Angela Ponce devoted her life to the well-being and care of Jim and Virginia Gatewood. Never could there have been a more loyal friend, wise assistant, and trusted caregiver. For the past five years, Martha Mendoza has brought much cheer with her compassionate manner. In these last several weeks, the administrators and staff of The Hospice of East Texas have been a source of much comfort and knowledge. It is requested that in lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Virginia make a contribution to The Hospice of East Texas so that their mission may continue to brighten the lives of those in need. Heartfelt thanks go out to the many friends who have sent flowers, food, and prayers. Obituary: Nelda Gatewood, 76, of Hamilton passed away on , 22, 2016 in Temple, Texas. She died at peace at Scott and White Hospital from complications from a brief struggle with lung cancer. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Hamilton, Texas with burial and graveside service following in the Blue Ridge Church . Nelda was born on a , 18th, 1939 in Voca, Texas to her parents Lille Regian Otte and James William Fritz (Fred) Otte. She grew up in several small Texas towns and attended Muleshoe High School. Nelda married her high school sweetheart Ingle Gatewood on 28th, 1958 in Muleshoe, Texas. Nelda and Ingle lived in Muleshoe, Abilene, Belton and after her retirement in 1996 resided in Hamilton. raised three children. She was preceded in death by her parents Lillie Womack and Fred Otte, two brothers A.J. Otte and Elroy Otte. Nelda is survived by her husband, Ingle (Gate) of Hamilton, a daughter Jerri Tyler and husband Eddie of Belton, son Mark and wife Shanda of Salado and son Keith and wife Adriana of Hamilton. She also is survived by seven Grandchildren; Lindsey Tyler, Allen Gatewood, Allison Skinner, Amy Tyler, Sharla Gottesman, Robby Hogan and Kyle Gatewood, Two great granddaughters Kensignton Grace Skinner and Eloise Kathleen Gottesman. As one of eight siblings, she is survived by 5 brothers and sisters; Myrlene Glasco, O. D. Otte, William Henry Otte, Shirley Reinke, and Christine Otte. Service is at Calvary Baptist Church in Hamilton on 26th with internment at Blue Ridge Church . Service led by her Pastor; Andrew Sobities.
