Celebration of Life: 12:30 p.m. , May 17, 2017 at Bluebonnet Hills Chapel with Pastor David Eibel officiating. Dwayne was born on 7, 1940 to Doyle and Irene Garrison in Los Angeles, CA. In 1957, Dwayne enlisted into the U.S. Air Force, where he was a missile launch control specialist for 8 years. In 1965, Dwayne secured employment with GTE as a test board man. During his 34-year career, Dwayne held various positions of leadership, and was dearly loved by all who worked for him. his retirement in 1999, Dwayne accepted a position as a Learjet instructor for CAE Simuflite, and finally retired as the Head of Training in 2015. Dwayne always had a passion for aviation, his family, and his faith. Obituary: Donaleta Mae Seaney Garrison was healed from Alzheimers disease on , 30, 2015 when she passed from this life at Hospice of the Southwest in Amarillo, Texas. services will be 2:00 p.m., , 1, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Silverton with Pastor G. J. Walton officiating. Burial will follow in the Silverton . are under the direction of Moore-Rose . Donny was born on 6, 1923 in Beckham Oklahoma to George and Agnes Seaney. She traveled with them in a covered wagon in 1924 to the Silverton, Texas area. She attended both Alexander and North Ward country schools before transferring to Silverton School in 1937 and graduating in 1941. attending Draughans Business School in Lubbock, she married Pascal Garrison in Spur, Texas on May 23, 1942. made their home in Silverton until Pascal was called to serve in the US Amy. With his being stationed stateside, Donny and their baby daughter were able to live near him for the time he served. Returning to Silverton, they were in partnership with her parents in the hardware business for a year before beginning to farm and ranch. Donny was a very able homemaker and also helped Pascal in any way she could with his work. She was a great cook, graceful dancer, talented quilter, kept a beautiful yard and was a faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family is grateful for the many favorable traits she taught them. Many will remember her for her sweet smile and personality. She was an active member of First Baptist Church for more than 70 years. She and Pascal celebrated 69 years of life together in Silverton before moving to Amarillo for health care in of 2012. The family celebrated their 70th anniversary with them that May at the care facility where they lived at the time. Later that year health issues necessitated their being in separate facilities. Pascal passed away on 2, 2014. Donaleta was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Cecil Seaney and her son-in-law, Gordon Lowrey. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Lowrey of Silverton and her son, Max Garrison and Kay of Amarillo; five grandchildren: Angie Smith and Joe Kirk of Shallowater, Shavonne George and Jeff of Tulia, Walt Garrison and Jennifer of Canyon, Frank Lowrey and Crystal of Canyon, and Cody Garrison and Reagan of Granbury; eight great-grandchildren: Dakota Smith of Lubbock, Brennen and Gentry George of Tulia, Brayden Welch, Braxton Lowrey and Greg Garrison of Canyon, and Molly and Graham Garrison of Granbury. Included in the family is foreign exchange student and special son, Johann Bull-Njaa, from Oslo, Norway who lived with them in 1964-65. The family wants to express extreme appreciation to the wonderful care givers at The Cottages, Ussery-Roan Texas Veterans , and Ware Memorial as well as those from Hospice of the Southwest. Obituary: GARRISON David William Garrison passed away at home on , 26, 2014. Born on 7, 1943 to Roger and Lora B. Garrison, he was the oldest of five children and as an Air Force dependent traveled near and far. Dave attended 27 different schools, living on Guam as an eight year old and for three years in France in high school. An avid Aggie, Dave nevertheless put a Longhorn magnet on his Jeep when his youngest son broke ranks and attended The University of Texas at Austin. Dave had a keen sense of adventure and loved to travel. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger and brother, Allen. Dave is survived by his wife, Judy; sons, Paige, Lane (Judy) and Bregger (Kirstin); grandchildren, Taylor and Salina; his mother, Lora B.; sisters, Betty (Bert) Roy, LeAnn (Anthony) Sharp; brother John, (Cindy) and numerous nieces and nephews. He loved his family and will be sorely missed. The family will gather at the Garrison ranch in the Hill Country for a celebration of Daves life. Obituary: Danial Burt Garrison, born 20, 1941 to J.D. Garrison and Lois Nakvinda. Danials father passed away when he was only 10 years old, and this made him strong. Danial aspired for much in life and was very successful in near everything he did. A high school all American at basketball; he was granted a scholarship to Howard Payne in Texas. From here he became a fireman and served the city of San Antonio honorably and with passion for 28 long years. A Christian man by faith he always realized he was blessed with so many great gifts and gave all his praise and glory to God. And so God led his path and in 1991 he met Tonya Weisinger, and was blessed with his only son Joshua Danial Garrison, who he loved constantly, truly, and never endingly on 17, 1992. Danial had a strong passion for life and lived it in a transcendental way, enjoying the simpler things in life being close to nature, collecting artwork instead of computers. The bible was his favorite book of study and pastime, which he pursued vigorously. He was an open and caring man even to people who most may have felt didn deserve it. He was a Son, a Father, and a man of God. But most importantly Danial Garrison was a man taken much too soon, and will never be forgotten. He was preceded in death by his father, J.D. Garrison, a Chief MM in the US Navy. Danial is survived by his son, Joshua; his mother, Lois Nakvinda; and step-father, Fred Nakvinda, all of San Antonio; also an uncle, Rev. She was a native of New York, but traveled to various states until making her final resting place in Texas. She was a retired homemaker that enjoyed working in her garden, taking care of her four legged kids, and taking pictures of beautiful sunsets. Annie also had a hobby of collecting a variety of stones and rocks from places that she visited. Annie was dearly loved by her family, friends, and four legged kids. She will forever be cherished in our hearts and memories. Preceded in death by her parents Warren and Genevieve Garrison, and sister, Carol Walters. She is survived by her sisters Sandra Frost and Norma Garrison; son Carmen M. Bracco and his wife, Brittany; son, Tony M. Bracco and his girlfriend, Stacey Bryan; 3 grandchildren, Rebecca, Alexa, and Zachary; 1 great grandchild, Jayson and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service honoring Annies life will be held at 10:00 AM , May 23, 2015 at Crawford-Bowers , 1615 S. Ft. Hood Rd. The family would like to express our deepest thanks for the wonderful help and care given during Annies final years by close friends whom Annie considered to be like family: Melissa Ingram, neighbors Guy and Fran Sorenson, and Chris. If desired, friends may make memorial contributions to the Texas Humane Heros in her name. |
