He was a veteran of the US Army. David was the sole owner of DMS Recycling in Raleigh. David is survived by his significant other, Jamie Connell; son, Joseph Goyen and his mother, Betsy Wilkins; brother, Galen Libby; aunt, Nancy Perkins and her husband, Bruce.
