Obituary: Wilma Dean White Givens, 75, of 3495 Amity Hill Road, Statesville, died , 9, 2011, at Forsyth Medical in Winston-Salem. She was born May 29, 1935, in Iredell and was the daughter of the late John and Grace Speaks White. She was a retired textile worker from Tape Weavers, was a member of Redemption Baptist Church, and participated in the senior adult program at Troutman Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert A. Givens, Jr. and a granddaughter, Crystal Christine Bullin. She is survived by a daughter, Cecelia Wehrle of Statesville; a son, Timothy Givens of Hickory; a grandson, Matthew Bullin; and two great-grandchildren, Braiden and Shalynn Bullin all of Statesville. services will be held at 3:00 PM at Redemption Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Kerrigan, the Rev. Joe Dellinger, and Capt. Phillip Priest officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Bunch-Johnson which is serving the Givens family. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.bunchjohnsonfuneralhome.com.
