Obituary: Edmond Michael Mikey George II, 57, of Manchester, died 28, 2014 after a sudden illness. Born in Manchester on 13, 1957, he was the son of Edmond M. and Joan T. (Case) George. He was educated in the local school system and graduated from Manchester Central High School in the Class of 1976. Mikey enjoyed hunting, fishing, and motorcycling. He especially loved lounging on the couch with his beloved dog, Little Boy Diego. He was passionate about his love for his family and close friends and had a strong loyalty to them. He will be remembered for his letter writing that would bring a smile to your face or a tear to your eye. He was also an avid storyteller, and could get you laughing even when you really felt like crying. Mikey enjoyed going to the farm stands with his Dad and brother and then making delicious meals from vegetables from the farm stand or his brothers garden, always making enough to share with friends and family. He was famous for making jerky from venison. When disaster struck, Mikey was the first to call with loving concern or to take action, like driving to New York City after 911 to volunteer to help in whatever way would be allowed. He would give you the shirt off his back. Material things were just hings; it was people that mattered to Mikey. He will be especially remembered for his quick wit and razor-sharp memory. Because of the kindness and compassion he had for others, Mikey never forgot a face or a name, and would go out of his way to talk to you and rekindle fond memories that would lift your spirits. There was a charm about him, and he made every person, no matter what their standing in life, feel important and special. To know Mikey was to love him, and he will be dearly missed. Family members include his one and only true love, Cynthia Dakoulas Sheehan of Manchester; his son, Michael Domosiaris-George, his daughter-in-law, Daniela, and granddaughter, Sophia, of Texas; his sister, Robin George, of Manchester; his stepchildren, Keith, Mark, and Heather Sheehan, and stepgranddaugher, Anaika Sheehan; his nephew, Steve George and fiancée Sara Thomason; his uncle and aunt, David and Annette Case of Canterbury; cousins, Steve Pellerin and wife, Robbie, of Texas; Gayle (George) Wilshire and husband, Jim, of Ohio, Shelley (George) Welch and husband, Jock, of Florida, Donna George of Peterborough; Peter Case, Dee Dee Morin and husband Daniel, Jason Case and wife Jodie, and Darcie Goss and husband Dennis; his longtime friend and mother of his son, Marie Domosiaris; and his lifelong and close friend who was like a brother, Thomas Minuti, and wife, Shannon, of Manchester. He was predeceased by his parents Edmond Eddy and Joan Joni George, and his brother, Steven C. Stevie George. A memorial service was held on , 6, 2014 in the chapel at Lambert & Crematory, 1799 Elm Street, Manchester. Urn burial will be in St. Joseph , Bedford, at a later date. Donations may be made in his memory to the Phoenix House, 3 Pierce Road, Dublin, NH 03444. |
