Obituary: Brad D. Gappa, 58, veteran, company owner Plymouth ? Bradley Dean Gappa, 58, of Plymouth died , 20, at Jordan Hospital from complications following a fall. He was the husband of Karen Morey (Williams) Gappa. met in 1973. Seven years later, on 20, 1980 they were married. Brad also leaves their son Terry Edward Gappa, who recently returned to Plymouth. Although their joyous reunion ended abruptly by the unexpected death of a loving husband and father, Terry?s return two weeks earlier then expected was a blessing, one which was, is and will be a comfort to his mother, Karen. Please keep them in your prayers today while they deal with this sudden loss. Born 11, 1950 in Madelia, Mn. He was the son of Betty (Arduser) Mitchell and the late Roman ?Fritz? Gappa. Brad graduated from Madelia High School in 1968. Throughout his younger years, he was an active member of the 4-H Club, FFA, and worked on the family farm. He served as a radioman on destroyer escorts in the US Navy 1968 to 1972, received an honorable discharge, and was a member of the American Legion Post 19, Madelia MN. From 1972 to 1974 Brad managed the Stetson Shoe store in South Weymouth. He moved to Plymouth in 1974 and managed the North Plymouth Electrolux Store. From 1976 to 1984, he was employed by Central Cab as a driver. Brad went on to manage the office in the owners? absence. He purchased Central Cab in 1984. In 1993, Brad restructured the company from a taxi service to a car service. He owned/operated Central Transportation to 2005. Brad was a member of the NFIB (National Federation of Independent Business owners), TLPA, Destination Plymouth, and Corporate member of Plimoth Plantation. Brad and his wife Karen formed a second business, Central Answering Service and ran it from 1991 to 2008. As a retired business owner in 2005, until the time of his death, Brad was employed by Cape Auto as a licensed MA state safety/emissions inspector. Brad was a faithful member of the Boy Scouts of America Old Colony Council, Cranberry Harbors District, Troop 47 - Plymouth. As a dedicated 15-year veteran member of the scouting family, he touched the hearts and minds of so many of our youth. For ten years, he was a member of the District Committee, District Advancement Committee in which he served on over a hundred Eagle Boards of Reviews. A recipient of the District Award of Merit, he also sat on the Council Camping Committee, a member of the upcoming Jamboree Leadership Contingent, and served different leadership positions in the past two Jamborees. As Order of the Arrow Manomet Chapter Advisor and Vigil Honor Member, Brad has been part of the past four NOAC contingents. And just this past weekend, Brad served the Campmasters corps as Campmaster at Camp Squanto. Brad enjoyed all sports and was a diehard Vikings fan. He also enjoyed camping, canoeing, snow skiing, gardening, yard work, reading, and country western music. In addition to his wife and son, he is survived by his mother, his brother Douglas Gappa and wife Linette of Madelia, his sister Ramona (Gappa) Slocum of Madelia, and his sister Dell (Gappa) Gersch and husband Dale of Cambria, MN, his stepmother Bonnie Gappa of Anoka, MN, his mother-in-law Florence Williams of Plymouth, his brother-in-law Mark Williams and wife Deborah of Longmeadow, MA, and many nieces, nephews, and relatives. Brad is preceded in death by his father, his brother-in-law Wayne Slocum, and his father-in law Ivan M. Williams. Visiting hours were be held on , 29 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Richard Davis , 373 Court Street, North Plymouth. A graveside service was held at the Vine Hills in Plymouth on , 30 at 11:00am. A memorial service in Madelia, MN celebrating his life will be held in the spring with all his family. Obituary: Gerald R. Gaouette, 98, died , 23, 2011 at the Copley at Stoughton and Rehabilitation in Stoughton. He was the husband of 74 years of the late Emma R. (Shaffer) Gaouette. Born in Woonsocket, RI, he was raised and educated in Woonsocket. He worked as a supervisor for Cumberland Worsted Woolen Mills for many years. He retired many years ago. He was a resident of California for several years before moving to Stoughton over 5 years ago. In his free time, he developed and created board games.
Mr. Gaouette was the father of Muriel Conti of Stoughton, Claire Audette and Gerald R. Gaouette both of AZ, Janet Hill of NV and Robert Gaouette of CA. He was the brother of Walter Gaouette and Rita Troublefield both of AZ and Rene Gaouette of RI. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services will be held at a date and time to be announced. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Red Cross, 139 Main St, Cambridge, MA 02142.

Born in New York City on 6, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Marco and Theresa (Virla) Zore. She graduated from Newtown High School in Astoria, New York in 1940. She has been a resident of East Walpole, Massachusetts since 1995 moving from the Town of Greenburgh, New York. She was a skilled cake decorator for a large bakery in New York City during WWII where she met her husband, John. getting married, in addition to raising a family, she worked with him at the family business, Michaels Restaurant on Central Avenue. She will be remembered for her easy smile, contagious laugh and generous nature. She took great pride in home and she and her husband enjoyed traveling with their dear friends, Charlie and Glenna Sulkala. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beloved wife of the late John Gansfuss. Loving mother of John E. Gansfuss and his wife Kathleen (Varga) of Niskayuna, NY, Linda M. Sulkala and her husband Chuck of Walpole, and Richard M. Gansfuss and his wife Mary (Casey) of Cortlandt Manor, NY. Cherished grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 8. Sister of the late Marcello Zore and John Zore. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Obituary: John Gansfuss age 89 died , 18, 2007. Born in Jabing, Burgenland, Austria to Maria (Baliko) & Ambrose Gansfuss, he apprenticed as a baker before coming to America in 1937. He located in New York City where he met his wife while both worked in a commercial bakery during WWII. He moved to Scarsdale, New York in 1945 and finally to Walpole, Massachusetts in 1997. In 1945 he and his brother Michael established Michaels Restaurant in Scarsdale, New York. Michael left in 1950 to establish the nearby Edgemont Casino. John owned and operated Michaels, a popular local venue. Mr. Gansfuss enjoyed spending time with his family, and watching sports, especially the New York Yankees. He took great pride tirelessly tending to his gardens. He was a member of The Elks in New York & Massachusetts. Beloved husband of 59 years of Lucy (Zore) Gansfuss. Loving father of John E. Gansfuss and his wife Kathleen (Varga) of Niskayuna, NY, Linda M. Sulkala and her husband Chuck of Walpole, and Richard M. Gansfuss and his wife Mary (Casey) of Cortlandt Manor, NY. Cherished grandfather of 11, Kelly, Caitlin, and Tyler Gansfuss, Jonathan and Alina Sulkala, Megan and Gansfuss, Kristen Cannon, Chad, Doug and Matthew Sulkala, and great grandfather of 7.
