Devoted and Beloved wife for 66 years of Norman Joseph Guerrera. Daughter of the late Emile A. and Cyprienne Gras Carbone, sister to the late Peter Carbone. Loving mother of Darlene F. (Salvador "Sal") Cusanza, Cyprienne N. (Louis) Stierwald, Deborah R. (Richard "Dino") Sighinolfi and Linda J. (Raymond) Reidling. Caring grandmother to Kristin M. (Adam) Cusanza Rudka, Dominic J. Cusanza, Jennifer (William) Corbidge, Melissa Stevens, Amanda Mangipano, Amy (Stuart) Montgomery, Nicole I. Sighinolfi and Riccardo (Melanie) Sighinolfi and to 8 great grandchildren. Their beloved romance began in 1947 when she met Norman at a Sadie Hawkins Dance on the S.S. President boat and "jailed" him for not dancing Retired from F.W. Woolworth, she spent most of her life in Gentilly and loved riding her bike in the neighborhood. Cyprienne knew no strangers and is remembered by her friends and family for her sense of humor and a caring and loving heart. A devout catholic who helped on many St. Joseph Altars making cookies, she loved to square dance, garden and play with her many pets and grandchildren. The Family would like to give a special thank you to Josie Leathem for her loving care given to Cyprienne. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, on afternoon, 10, 2015 at 1:00. Obituary: Frank D. Guerra Benton, LA Frank D. Guerra was born 19, 1956 in Shreveport, LA. His parents were Manuel D. and Antonio Guerra. He passed away 26, 2015 in Washington, PA as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was an oilfield consultant, working in many states and shales. Frank is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Angelita Garcia and Elizabeth Garcia. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Laura Elizabeth Guerra; children, Jeremy Guerra and wife Janea, Frank Guerra and wife Kim, Breeze Guerra, Manuel Guerra and wife Karlee, Stormy Guerra and boyfriend Aaron Procell and Harley Guerra and girlfriend Trinity Sisemore; grandchildren, Katie Hatchett, Aubrey Herrington, Sophia Guerra, Brooklyn Guerra, Addyson Guerra, Elijah Guerra, Jaxson Guerra, Mateo Guerra, and Isabella Guerra; his siblings, Romerelo Guerra, Raymond Guerra, Joe Guerra, Rebecca Addison, and Willie Guerra; a half-sister, Mary Ann Sowell; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of dear friends. Obituary: Emile W. (Sammy) Guerra was called into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on , 22, 2012 at the age of 86. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Dorothy Miller Guerra; his sons, James P. Friedman (Carol), Wayne A. Guerra (Amy); his daughters, Connie G. Banks (Jack), Gail G. Couvillion (Barry) and Janelle G. Capitano (Tommy). He leaves behind his loving grandchildren: Jenny Colombo, Laurie Whipp, Joelle Scully, Melanie Rogers, B.J. Couvillion, James Friedman, Jr., Jeff Banks, Shane Guerra, Brandon Couvillion, Trey Capitano and Travis Capitano. He was blessed to have been the great grandfather of Josie, Emily, Wyatt, Braeden, James, Caleb, Carsyn, Collin, Brooks, Jackson, Micah, Corinne, Madison and Annalise. He is also survived by a niece and two nephews. He was the son of the late Mae Schluter Guerra and Albert L. Guerra. He was preceded in death by his sister, Freda G. Carson and his brother, Albert B. Guerra. He was a longtime resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, living the last 17 years in Metairie, Louisiana. Sammy served his country in the Pacific while he was in the Navy during World War II from 1942-1946. He retired after having been employed by Hyster and W. W. Clarklift. Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, corner of Richland Avenue and W. Esplanade Avenue in Metairie, Louisiana on , 27, 2012 at 12:00 noon. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am at the church. Interment will be private.
