On 21, 1956, she married Roger E. Gerbig, who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Roger E. Gerbig II; one daughter, Elizabeth Kent; and son-in-law, Donald. Obituary: Carroll Frenchie Gerbig, 67, of Evansville, passed away , 4, 2014, at his home. He was born 12, 1947, in Winchester, VA to Emery and Charlotte (Williams) Gerbig. He served in the US Army during Vietnam and was an undercover agent with the Army Special Forces from 1969 to 1975. He was a life member of VFW Post 1114 and the Disabled Veterans. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Newburgh. Frenchie loved to cook and was an accomplished chef. He especially enjoyed working as a pastry chef at the River House. He credits his grandmother with his love of creating masterpieces in the kitchen. Frenchie thought he old recipes are still the best. His recipes were from 50 to 120 years old, with some modifications. In 1968, before entering the services, Frenchie had been a certified chef in Washington, D.C. He earned a B.A. in restaurant management, an associate B.A. in basic food service, and majored in advanced food service with a minor in advanced pastry while attending Fort Wainwright Food Service School in Alaska. In between some other positions, he had his own catering business in Chandler, Frenchies Catering, where he said, We didn make enough money to pay the light bill. While working at the Clearcrest Country Club in Darmstadt, Frenchie met his wife, Rhonda. The moment I saw her, I fell in love with her, he said. She came into the club for a job interview. He interviewed her for three and a half hours. She got the job and three months later they were married. Frenchie hadn always been known as Frenchie. When he returned from Alaska, he had long hair and a scraggly beard. He had his hair cut, trimmed his beard and put on a three piece suit. When his grandmother saw him, she said he looked like Sebastian Cabot, who played the character Mr. French on a popular television show. Over a period of time, the name was shortened to Frenchie. Frenchie was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte (Williams) Gerbig. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rhonda Gerbig; father, Emery Gerbig; and sister, Linda Gerbig. services will be 10:30 AM , 8, 2014, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Bob England and Rev. Dan Kennedy, with entombment in Park Lawn where military rites will be performed. Friends may visit from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Obituary: Delmar L. Gerbers, of New Haven, died May 2, 2015 at Woodview Assisted Living, Fort Wayne. Born in Allen , he was the son of the late Gerhard and Freida (Schaper) Gerbers. Delmar retired as an assembler at International Harvester in 1981 after 32 years of service. He was a very active member at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven. He was an avid bowler for 60 years and was in national tournaments for 40 years. Obituary: Milton L. Gerber, 87, of Fort Wayne, peacefully was placed in the arms of his savior for his final journey home, on 30, 2016. He was a former resident of Craigville and Ossian, Indiana and Cedarville, Michigan. He was born on 14, 1929 in Adams to Reuben and Dulla (Aschliman) Gerber. He married Patricia Titus on 1, 1950, in Bluffton, Indiana. He attended Kirkland Township High School. In later life he founded Gerber Electric, Thermtron Products and Thermtron Research. At various times he was a board member of the Lutheran Hospital Foundation, the Ossian Medical , Ossian Development Corporation, National Cellulose Insulation Mfg. Assoc., Life Support Chaplaincy, First Missionary Church and Missionary Church of the United States, New Bridge Chaplaincy and American Standard for Testing Materials. He was the holder of 16 United States and Canadian Patents and worked for 18 years with cancer research. He was preceded in death by his wife, one son Mark and brother V. Dwight Gerber. He is survived by his two sons Gary (Janet) and Steven (Denise) both of Fort Wayne, three daughters Michelle (Sam) Quate, Yvonne (Scott) Figgins of Fort Wayne, and Renee Gerber of Indianapolis, 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sister-in-laws Janice (James) Geels and Mary Titus of Decatur. A Memorial Worship Service will be 11:30 am, , 3, 2016 at Woodburn Missionary Church where he was a member, with a time to visit one hour prior. Visitation will be at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park , 1320 E. Dupont Rd, , 2, 2016 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm. A Private Family Burial will be in Concordia Gardens.
