Obituary: Elva Miranda Fimbres peacefully went home to glory on , 7, 2016 with her three sons by her side. Elva, was born in Litchfield Park, Arizona on 17, 1946, and was the youngest of eight children. She spent a majority of her childhood years residing in Guadalupe, Arizona and was a graduate of Tempe High School in 1964. Elva married Peter Ledesma and both were parents to three sons named Peter Jr., Andrew, and Christopher. She is also a beloved grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 2. Elva appreciated most raising her three sons and spending time with her grandchildren, especially during the holidays. She could always be counted hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas meals by cooking and baking everything that her family would enjoy eating. She loved to be in the kitchen preparing meals for her kids and family alike. When not spending time with her family, she enjoyed traveling the globe as often as possible, visiting far lands such as China, British Virgin Islands, and Italy. She did this with a sailing club who also journeyed to other vacation spots like San Diego and Hawaii. In her spare time, she had a paint brush in hand, creating scenic art that she proudly displayed around her home. Elva also was a big Arizona Diamondbacks fan and would rarely miss watching them play. Most importantly, Elva was a devout follower of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and considered herself a child of God. Her work career started later in life after her youngest child started school. She began working as a telephone operator at Mountain Bell where she stayed for several years until she transitioned to the American Red Cross. the American Red Cross she ended her working years at the City of Mesa in the Real Estate Department from which she retired from in 2011. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: Dora Rivera (Sister) and Arturo Fimbres (Brother). She is survived by: sons - Peter Jr., Andrew, and Christopher Ledesma; daughter-in-laws - Delia Ledesma, Joanna Calderon, and Crystal Bravo; grandchildren - Angelique, Andrew Jr., Devina, Elisa, Faith, Hope, and Christopher Jr.; great grandchildren - Wolf and Fox; brothers - Billy Fimbres, Leonard Fimbres; and sisters - Minnie Samaniego, Mollie Gonzales, and Lollie Gonzales. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of her life on , 24, 2016 at Resthaven Carr-Tenney Mortuary located at 4310 E. Southern Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85042 at 1pm. There will be a reception immediately following the service with food and drinks provided for everyone. Please note the facility does not allow any food or drinks from outside of their catering service. |
