Obituary: MARY Z. FORTE 1918 - 2014 Mary Zofia Forte was born on 19, 1918, in South River, New Jersey. Her parents were Michael and Mary Karaszi. Marys mother, affectionately known as Muma was born in Szamosszeg, Hungary on 27, 1894. In 1991, at age 96, she went to be with her Lord. Mary and her mother were very close throughout their lives. Marys father was born in Hungary in 1893. Both of Marys parents were Hungarian immigrants entering the United States through Ellis Island, New York. Marys father arrived at age 13 with his family in 1906. Marys mother, however, arrived alone at age 16 in 1910 and she never saw her parents again. At ages 18 and 19, Marys parents married and settled in New Jersey in a Hungarian community. Marys mother never learned English and only spoke Hungarian. As a result, Mary was fluent in Hungarian her whole life. Mary married Carlo Edward Forte on 2, 1941. Carlo was born 19, 1917, in Raritan, New Jersey, to Fred and Mary Benjevinga Forte. Carlo was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army Air Corps in May, 1944. He was a World War II Veteran with 35 Combat Missions in B-24s as a Bombardier. At age 96, Dad went to be with his Lord on 23, 2011. lived in Shalimar, Florida since 1964 and were married for seventy years. Mary is survived by her four sons, Frederick, Michael, Carlo, Jr., and Anthony; Daughters-in-law, Jane Forte and Susan Forte, and eight grandchildren, Nicole, David, Maria, James, Max, Stephen, Anthony, and Thomas. As an only child, Mary Forte grew up in a difficult time. God developed her into a strong, capable, and determined woman, whom everyone dearly loved. Mary was a devoted wife and mother. She always made the needs of her children a priority. We always knew she would be there for us. Mom was very involved with our numerous activities, from baseball and worm farms, to guinea pigs and Boy Scouts, just to name a few. She loved to cook and her home was always open to anyone needing a good meal. Her spaghetti and meatballs, and her Hungarian stuffed cabbage were always in demand. We always told our friends, even if you aren hungry, please eat something to please Mom. Mom was known to all for her generosity and hospitality. She was a udding entrepreneur who loved real estate and was always looking for the next good deal. Marys life on this earth is done but her heavenly life is just beginning. Several months ago, I spoke with Mom about her salvation. Together we read and spoke aloud Romans 10:9, That if you confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord and believe God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Mom eagerly accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior! Mom and Grandma, we miss you terribly. There is a hole and an ache in our hearts. Yet, we celebrate your life! We know this separation is only temporary as we will see you again in our true and permanent heavenly home. Jesus said, Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Fathers house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going. I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:1-6 A time of visitation will be held on , 18, 2014 between the hours of 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Emerald Coast , 113 Racetrack Rd. NE, Fort Walton Beach. She battled Diabetes and High Blood Pressure, losing her sight, suffering a heart attack. She is survived by her mother Roslyn Forte of Boynton Beach and partner of 28 years Barbara Bertram, sister and brother in law Sue and Denis White of Denver, CO and nephew Tom Como, niece Jennifer Micatrotto and family from Phoenix, AZ. Linda graduated from John F. Kennedy in Nebraska with a degree in Physical Education with a minor in English. college she taught English on the Indian Reservation in Nebraska. Obituary: FORTE, Joseph Rocco, born Sept. 14, 1921 in Rochester, NY passed away peacefully at home on Aug.15th at age 92. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Arlene, and by sons Paul (Linda) of Rochester, NY and Lawrence (Sandra) of Fort Lauderdale, nephew Lawrence Harrigan, several close cousins, many special friends and caretakers, especially Norma Scala. Predeceased by his parents Lorenzo and Maria, and brother Ralph. Joseph was born and raised in Rochester, NY. He served proudly in World War II as a Marine, and saw action in the North African and Pacific Theatres. A printer by trade, Joseph and Arlene, moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1971, after two years managing the Duffys Guesthouse in Puerto Rico. He served as the Director of Printing and Graphic Arts at Broward Community for twenty three years. In retirement, Joseph was able to pursue his love of art and became an accomplished and prolific painter. Joseph and his beautiful wife had a long and wonderful life together, which he often testified to with his favorite saying and family motto: Life is Good!
