Obituary: Wilma passed away on 25, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones. Wilma was born to Mr. Robert Ting, Sr. and Mrs. Heng Feng Ting on 16, 1940. During her early teenage years, Wilma lived, learned and played with 21 cousins in Shanghai until she was 16 under parenting and leadership of her beloved Uncle and Aunt. She moved with her family to Hong Kong in 1957 and then to Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1958. She learned Portuguese and graduated from high school in 1961. Wilma and her sweetheart W. George Fong were engaged in Sao Paulo in 1963. The two were married in Tallahassee, Florida in 1964. The couple adopted their son Billy in 1970. Wilma volunteered in many activities at school, church and the neighborhood. She was a pet lover and had many dogs and a cat during her life. She also loved turtles. Wilma was an avid fisherman and told many fish stories. Many people also remember her great skill in the kitchen and the recipes she shared with them. Wilma was a retail specialist with two major department stores in Tallahassee. Her specialties were fine china and bridal registration. retirement, Wilma and George moved to Westminster Oaks in 2013. In 2014, Wilma organized and became the coach of Westminster Oaks Table Tennis Team. Team members competed and won numerous Gold, Silver and Bronze medals at Capital City Senior Game tournaments from 2014 to 2016. Wilma participated in the knitting club (people envied her talents and she often gave away her creations to charity) and was seen most nights playing cards with her many friends. Wilma is predeceased by her parents, brother Robert, Jr. and sister Vivian and survived by her husband George, son Billy, sisters: Lilian, Yuk Yu (husband Darius), Wendy (husband Tony), Margaret (husband Tony) and brother William (wife Margaret). People often commented on her generous and caring spirit. Wilma was well loved by all of her relatives and friends and throughout her long, well-lived life was able to make everyone smile. A visitation will be held at Culleys MeadowWood on , 3rd from 9:30AM-10:30AM with a service to begin at 10:30AM. The interment service is to immediately follow the service also on the grounds of MeadowWood Memorial Park. (700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee (850)893-4177).
