Obituary: Leigh M. Fisher was born on May 5, 1938 in New Matamoras, OH to his parents Leo and Grace (Valentine) Fisher. He passed away on 23, 2015 in Cape Coral, FL. Leigh is survived by loving wife of 10 years Joanne; children Mark Jr., Mike , and Matt Fisher; grandchildren Chadd, Sami, Mikayla, Mikenzie, and Max; great grandchildren Brody and Everleigh; sister Emily Fisher. Leigh is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Toni Fisher. Leigh spent over 50 years of his life helping others through his career. He was a probate attorney who graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and was recently inducted into the Gold Barristers Circle at Case Western Reserve where he attended and graduated from law school. His passions in life were his career, traveling, and most of all boating. A Service will begin at 4:00 pm on , 28, 2015. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm at the Fuller Metz , 3740 Del Prado Blvd., S., Cape Coral, FL 33904. Obituary: Laura M. Donahue Fisher, 77, of Orlando, FL, passed away on 3, 2013 peacefully under hospice care with her loving children at her bedside. Her funeral is open to family and friends and will be held on , 8th, with visitation / viewing at 11 AM and funeral service at 12 PM, at y Hand Colonial , 2811 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, FL 32806, (407) 898-2561. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Greenwood . Laura was born in Orlando on 23, 1936, graduated from Orlando High School, and lived in Orlando all her life. She is predeceased by her parents, Albert Purvis Donahue and Nettie Myrtle Bowers. Laura was the youngest of six children and is predeceased by all of them. Her brothers were Louis, Francis, Paul and Albert Donahue, and her sister was Lila Partridge. She also had twin infant sisters that died at birth with their mother when Laura was two years old. Laura is survived by her six loving children - Debi Woods, Deanna Kaye Gibson, Michael Bass, Mark Phillips, Lori Tantillo, and Brian Hurley. She is also survived by 12 beloved grandchildren and 14 treasured great grandchildren, and will be forever remembered by many friends and other family members whom were blessed to know her. Laura was a devout Christian whose faith in and commitment to God and Jesus Christ provided her strength and guidance throughout her entire life. Undoubtedly, she is now rejoicing in heaven with the angels. In addition to her devotion to God, Laura enjoyed singing opera and classical music, playing the piano, and spending time with her family. She also loved animals, especially horses. She touched the lives of countless people through her love, concern and generosity, and was able to maintain her wonderful sense of humor while battling chronic health issues over the past several years. Her strength and will to live that she displayed was amazing and truly inspirational. The family of Laura M. Donahue Fisher wishes to provide a "very special thank you" to Beth Laverty with Dr. Gary Lehman's office for Beth's incredible love and relentless care, to the staff at The Commons at Orlando Lutheran Towers for their dedicated care provided to Laura over the past 5 years, and to Cornerstone Hospice for making the last few weeks of Laura's life comfortable and peaceful. |

Obituary: Larry Joe Fisher was born on May 17, 1939 in Brazil, IN. He was the son of Fern and Hutoka L Boetjer Fisher. He passed away peacefully in his home on 12, 2017 in Ft Lauderdale, FL. He is survived by his twin sons, Robert Joe Fisher (wife Dana Seale Fisher) who reside in Dawsonville, GA and William Joe Fisher (wife Julie Hall Fisher) who reside in Greensboro, NC; one granddaughter, Natalie Anne Fisher, who attends University of North Carolina-Wilmington, and a brother, William Henry Fisher who resides in Lincolnshire, IL. Larry had a special friend and companion in Christine Longa, who was always kind, patient, and supportive. He also loved spending time with, and spoiling Muffin, the Labrador/Greyhound mix he won in a raffle. Larrys career led him to great heights, literally. He was a sought after high rise crane operator in Chicago, IL during the 60s and 70s. He not only excelled in the the skill of operating high rise cranes, but also had no fear of heights and an excellent sense of balance. These talents made him an invaluable part of many construction projects He was a proud member of the Teamsters Union and retired at the age of fifty-five. Larry was a native of Illinois, but much preferred the warmer weather and sunny lifestyle he found in Fort Lauderdale. His parents introduced the family to Florida when Larry and his brother were young. The Fishers were some of the first owner/occupants at Maybury Mansions in the 1950s and Larry became a permanent resident of Maybury Mansions in 2005. Larry was a proud, fiercely independent man who never wished to be a burden to anyone. He can rest in peace, knowing he did it his way. under the direction of Forest Lawn , Pompano Beach, FL. |
