Obituary: Marcella Fajardo, best known to the residents of Frederick as Margie, passed from this life on , Sept 13th. She was blessed to be in her home of over 65 years with her family by her side. Margie was born on 22, 1920 in Dawson, New Mexico to Edward and Nellie Torres. Margie led an extraordinary life, she became a small business owner in the 1950's when it was rare for a woman to embark on such a lofty path, a proud member of our military, which she joined during the Second World War after her husband Tony was drafted. She and Tony were world travelers and loved sharing stories about their journey's to Europe, Africa and Hawaii. Most of all she was the loving, inspirational and dignified matriarch of the wonderful family she began. Margie, and her beloved Tony, made the town of Frederick their home in the 1940's after both being honorably discharged from the military. Tony opened and operated Tony's Automotive on 2nd street in Frederick and Margie was well known throughout the tri town area as the proprietor of Margie's Barber Shop on 5th street for over 50 years. She worked into her 80's before retiring and selling her cherished shop. The couple celebrated 68 years of marriage before Tony's passing in 2010. Margie was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Josie Ortega, Minnie Romero, Cookie (Ruth) Garcia, Mary Lucero, Priscilla Garcia, Francis Torres, Melba Lee Torres; husband Tony Fajardo and is survived by her 2 loving daughters, Carolyn Fajardo, and Juanita (Rob) Dufour; 7 grandchildren, Joseph Bravo, Renee (Rudy) Sarmiento, Roberta (Teddy) Luera, Richard (Renee) Torres, Rosalie Torres, Alfredo Almanza and Daniel (Selene) Almanza; 14 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Ed Torres Jr., John (Stella) Torres, Alex (Carol) Torres and Ernest (Paula) Torres. Services for Margie will be held , 21st at St. Theresa's Catholic Church (502 Walnut St. Frederick, CO.) beginning with a viewing at 4p.m. and a rosary at 6 p.m. The funeral mass will commence , 22nd at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa's with a burial service immediately following at the Olinger Highland . Please join Margie's family in an honoring and celebration of her life at the American Legion (870 First St. Firestone, CO.) in Firestone succeeding the burial service. |

Obituary: Come with Me God saw she was getting tired And a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around her And whispered, "Come with Me." With tearful eyes we watched her fade away, Although we loved her dearly, We could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands laid to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us ~ He only takes the best. Myrtle Faist was born in Bassett, Nebraska to her parents John and Mary Lucht on 16, 1928. She passed away on May 31, 2014 in her home in Northglenn, Colorado at the age of 85. Her daughter, Bunnie, was at her side at the time of her passing. Myrtle was the youngest of eight children. She married Ralph Graham 22, 1947. This union lasted 22 years and produced three children; Bunnie Lou Ruby of Brighton CO, Ralph Gerald Graham of Centennial CO, & Laurence Lynn Graham of Hamilton, Alabama. In 1972 she married Louis Faist Jr. lived together until his death in '2003. Myrtle accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord & Savior in 1981. Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Faist Jr., her father John Lucht, her mother Mary Lucht, her siblings Ed, Walter, Alfred, Elmer, Roy, Esther, and Evelyn, 2 great-granddaughters, C.J. Harlan and Cori Lynn Harlan. She is survived by 3 children, 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, & 7 great-great-grandchildren. There will be a graveside committal service at Ft. Logan National on 10, 2014 at 10:00AM at staging area A. Myrtles Statement of Faith: Praise be to God, who has bless me with every spiritual blessing just as He has promised in His inspired Word, The Bible, Which is without error as originally written. It is because He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for my sins and rise again bodily from the dead that I, by His grace and through no merit of my own, have received eternal salvation and will be raised again bodily to be with my Savior forever. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, I was brought to faith in Jesus, I have freely received His atoning sacrifice for me, and have entered into a relationship with Jesus Christ which is eternal, for I am assured that absolutely nothing can separate me from the love of God.
