Obituary: Franz Fischer passed away on , 18, 2015 at his home in Yakima, WA surrounded by his family. He was born in 1927 in Odessa, Ukraine to Michael Fischer and Rosa Hoerner. He married Katharina (Katie) Merk in Germany in 1950. In 1955, with their three small children, they immigrated to America, settling in Yakima, WA where their fourth child was born. Franz worked as a carpenter with Frenzel Construction, also building four homes of his own in his spare time before retiring. the death of his wife Katie, he met and married Peggy Boseck in 1994. He was first a member of St. Pauls Cathedral and then, after moving, became a member of Holy Family from the time the new church was opened in 1969. He enjoyed going to clubs and dancing to German band music. He was preceded in death by his parents, six siblings, and first wife Katie. He is survived by his wife Peggy of 20 years, children Rose (Steve) Paullin, Mike (Cozette) Fischer, Maria (Jess) Jaime, Aggie (Keith) Sprague, 10 grandchildren, Becky, Keri, Ryan, Chris, Janelle, Nichole, Mike, Alexis, Kevin, Jacob, and 12 great grandkids. Viewing will be held on , 24 at 3 PM to 8 PM at Langevin -- El Paraiso with Rosary Service at 4 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on , 25 at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Calvary . We wish to thank Memorial Hospice and for their care that helped make it possible for him to spend his last days at home with his family and longtime friends, George and Erika Jahr. |

Obituary: Frank J. Fischer of Yakima was born 22, 1922 in Trail City, South Dakota to Joseph and Eva (Lacher) Fischer. Frank was an individual who wanted to learn how to do everything. He had a veracious appetite for learning, always was interested in furthering his education. Also, in high school basketball, he earned his letter for his sweater- Wow- 1941-1942. He served in the Army from 22, 1944 to 30, 1946 serving under Patton, first working in ship yards as a welder then overseas working as a mechanic and welder. Before serving in the Army, he served in the C.C.C.s. In 1946 back in college, he specialized in accounting & taxes. In his 23 years as a banker, beginning in 1950, he started as a bank messenger working up to executive officer & bank manager. Then in 1963 he met the love of his life Clara, Rosie the Riveter, who was a fashion buyer for Bon e. were married in 1964. leaving the bank, Frank worked for an accounting firm in Yakima and he purchased the firm in 1976. He was also active in the Chamber of Commerce, Veteran of Foreign Wars, Eagles, International Footprinters Assoc. and Order of the Elks in which he was Exalted Ruler of the Ellensburg Lodge. He was a people person reached out to people as a friend, a great volunteer, a great ability to fix things. In his later years Frank & Clara had their boat & trailer and took many trout fishing trips, then with his cousin, Gabe. Always lots of fish & fun. The family would like to say Thank You to the wonderful people at Highgate Senior Living and Yakima Valley Memorial Hospice for their great care of Frank. Frank is survived by brothers Al Fischer of Seattle and Mike Fischer of CA; sisters, Barbara Irwin of Yakima and Carol Johnson of Sunnyside; stepdaughter, Versa Kang and her husband, Lyle; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara in 2002; brothers, Joe, John, Andrew, Anton, Casper, Leo and Adam; sister, Christine Zimmeran. Visitation will be held at Keith and Keith on , 17 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on , 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with burial following at Calvary . Obituary: Frances Marie (Frydenlund) Fischer passed away from cancer on 10th, 2014 a the Evergreen Hospice in Kirkland, Washington. Fran was born in Nome, North Dakota on 19, 1940, the youngest of 7 children. She, her husband (Douglas Fischer from Edgeley, North Dakota), and their small son moved to the Seattle area in May, 1960 after her husband graduated from North Dakota State University and went to work for Boeing. Fran lived with her husband of 56 years, in Renton Washington since 1962. Fran was active in community youth sports and scouting, and also King of Kings Lutheran Church youth, benevolent, and fellowship programs. Fran is survived by her husband, their three children,, Steven (Kathleen), Rick (Jeannette), and daughter Suzanne (John) Hennig, five grandchildren, Jennifer Fischer, Kathryn (Bryan) Bart, Davin Fischer, Jason Hennig, and Cody Hennig, three step great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
