Obituary: Cory passed away at his home in Park City, UT on 25, 2014. He was born in Salt Lake City, UT and raised in Park City. Cory graduated from Park City High School in 1975. He then attended Utah State University and the University Of Utah where he studied communications. college, Cory traveled in search of a big city adventure and finally settled in San Francisco, CA where he spent the best part of his life. While there he made many life-long friends. He enjoyed his career in the food industry having the opportunity to work in some of the finest restaurants. He also tapped into his communication abilities with stints in radio and public television, where he co-hosted a show in San Francisco called "Oh Honey!" with his friend Jacquie. Cory returned to Park City in the early 2000's to care for some challenging physical ailments and remained there until his passing. He had an acute sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Those who knew him well were entertained and schooled by his wit and knowledge. He was a deep thinker and enjoyed exploring the philosophies of life. Cory is survived by his parents Mel and Sandy Flinders of Park City, UT; siblings Shelly (Tom) Martinez, Susan (Harvey) McComb, Vanette (Darrick) Olsen, Tom (Kristin) Flinders, Chad (Kami) Flinders and Jamie (Matt) Oman; 11 nieces and 11 nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. A viewing and celebration of Cory's life will be held on , 1st from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Starks Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, where complimentary valet parking will be provided on the north side of the building. Obituary: Feb. 14, 1941 ~ 24, 2014 Lorna May Wald Flickinger, 73, much loved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep 24, 2014, in Orem, Utah, after a full life that was a legacy of love.Lorna was fittingly born on Valentine's Day 14, 1941, in Salt Lake City to Ferdinand O. and Velma H. Wald. She graduated from East High School in Salt Lake City in 1959. She earned her Bachelors degree from the University of Utah in 1963. While there she served as Chapter and Inter-chapter Vice President in Lambda Delta Sigma sorority. She loved serving and was loving and caring to all who knew her.On 18, 1964, she married Dwight Charles Flickinger in the Salt Lake City L.D.S. temple. Lorna put Dwight through law school by teaching both the fifth and sixth grade, which she loved. She also taught piano for four years during that time. This was a great passion for her that continued later in life, when she again taught piano to hundreds of students for another twenty-three years. She loved teaching and touched the lives of many. were blessed with five children: Wendy (Jeffrey) Pedersen, Rod (Kacie) Flickinger, Mark (Diane) Flickinger, Troy Flickinger, and Craig Flickinger Also survived by her siblings Fred Wald, Oletta Wald Cummings, and Leonard Wald. She was preceded in death by her husband ( 4, 1939 - 22, 2011), brother Gordon Wald, father Ferdinand Wald, and mother Velma Wald. Lorna was survived by her brother Fred Wald, and her sister Oletta Wald Cummings, and her brother Leonard Wald. services will be held , 30, at 1:00 pm at the Heatheridge Stake , located at 450 East 2000 North in Orem. Obituary: Dwight Flickinger 1939 - 2011 Dwight Charles Flickinger, 71, beloved husband, father and grandfather peacefully passed away 22, 2011 in Provo, Utah Dwight was born 4, 1939 in Logan, Utah to Dwight W. Flickinger and Violet G. Flickinger. He graduated from East High School in 1957, and earned a Bachelors Degree from the University of Utah. During that time he enjoyed serving as LDS mission in the Hawaiian Islands, which was a great passion for him. He then earned a JD Degree from the University of Utah Law School. He practiced law in Arizona and Utah, was president of Phoenix Trial Lawyers Association, and on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association. He was also president of the Phoenix Kiwanis Club. He found the law firm Flickinger and Sutterfield in Provo, Utah and was President of Provo Rotary Club. Most important, he was a wonderful husband and father, and has always been scrupulously honest. (His colleagues called him “squeaky clean.â€) He served in many capacities in the LDS Church, including a Branch Presidency at the Provo MTC, and in a Stake Presidency at BYU. In 1964 he married Lorna May Wald in the Salt Lake City Temple. were blessed with children: Wendy (Jeffrey) Pedersen, Rod (Kacie) Flickinger, Mark (Diane) Flickinger, Troy Flickinger and Craig Flickinger. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Robert. services will be held , 29, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. at the Heatheridge Stake , 450 East 2000 North, Orem.
