Obituary: Tommy Lee Freeman, 76, of Midland, TX, went to be with his Lord and Savior on , May 9, 2015. Tommy was born in Clyde, Texas, on 26, 1938, to Russell Lee and Lola Lorene Freeman. He graduated from Midland High School in 1957. Tommy attended Odessa for two years and then graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas Tech University in 1961. Tommy married the love of his life, Sondra Lee Stewart, on May 28, 1960. were blessed to enjoy a wonderful life together for almost fifty-five years. Tommy worked for Exxon as a Senior Staff Financial Accountant for thirty-three years. He retired with Exxon in 1994. Tommy enjoyed playing golf, fishing, grilling burgers, and most of all spending precious time with his family, especially his nine grandchildren. He was very active in the Church serving as a teacher, deacon, and elder. He served as an elder at Westbury Church of Christ in Houston, Texas and Trinity Church of Christ in Trinity, Texas. He originated the Class at Westbury and also coached boys and girls basketball teams in a church league. He had a love for kids and basketball, being an all-star player at Midland High himself. He loved the Lord and doing service in the Lords Name. Tommy had a magnetic personality. He never met a stranger. Everyone loved him and enjoyed being around him because he loved others and had a big heart. He had a nickname for most everyone. He made people laugh and was full of joy. Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Lola Freeman. He is survived by his bride, Sondra Freeman, and his brother, Russell Leon Freeman. He is also survived by his children: Celeste DeAnn Pruitt and husband, Allen, Stuart Lane Freeman and wife, Jelisa, and Tonya Lee Ahmann-Yates and her husband, Mark; Grandchildren: Melani Dennington and husband, Adrian, Aubrey Scallorn and husband, Nick, Trevor Freeman, Morgan Pruitt, Rollin Ahmann, Lexi Ahmann, Maxx Yates, Kai Yates, Cade Ahmann, and the great-grandbaby, Allen Noah Dennington, and nieces and nephews, as well as many other family and friends. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Midland Christian 2001 Culver Dr., Midland, Texas 79705, Midland Soup Kitchen Ministry1401 Orchard Ln Midland, Texas 79701, Kenya Widows and Orphans (KWO Ministries) 3500 W Golf Course Rd., Midland, Texas 79703, or the Fairmont Park Church of Christ building fund 3813 N Midland Dr, Midland, Texas 79707. Obituary: Taunia Renee Freeman was born , 27, 1977, in Houston, daughter of Robert Christopher and Amelia Gomez Freeman. She most enjoyed her time with family and friends and her work in a pediatric clinic. Also important were learning, including ROTC, graduating from Milby High School and nurse training. The love of her life was her precious son, Noah, who thrived on her devoted mothering. She left this earthly life on , 18, 2011, but will live on in the hearts of the many people she touched and with the God she served. Besides her parents and son, Taunia leaves behind brothers Robert and Matthew and sister Sara, grandmother Verna Freeman, husband Javier Rodriguez and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins on both sides of her close-knit family. Visitation will be 3-9pm , 24 at Forest Park Lawndale with a rosary at 7pm. Mass will be 10am , 25 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 6723 Whitefriars Drive Houston, TX 77087. Interment at Forest Park East, Webster, Texas. An educational fund has been set up for Taunias son.
