Obituary: Elvis Quinton Franks, age 75, of Spring, Texas passed away 13, 2016. Quinton left his earthly home peacefully to be with the Lord he loved and served, after a long struggle with many illnesses. Quinton was a strong soul and God knew his strength was gone. Quinton was born in LePanto, Arkansas to Euell Quinton and Idamae Frances Franks, and was blessed with two brothers - Euell Francis Franks and Gary Lynn Franks. He and his brothers spent great times together making memories hunting and fishing together. He was married to the love of his life, Sue, for 53 years. Through good times and bad, Quinton held onto God and his family. He spent years making a career in the HVAC business until retirement in 2006. The remainder of his life was spent with his daughter, Christy Suzanne McSwain, and grandchildren Drake, Chloe and Hadiyah, whom were the center of his world. He was also blessed with a great church family where he served as deacon and other positions at Peace Tabernacle Assembly of God for many years. Quinton was a loving father, an honest businessman, a great grandfather and the best husband in the whole world - but, most of all - he was a man of God. And now Quinton, you are home! Obituary: David Gene Franks was born Oct. 15, 1930, to Tommy Franks and Thelma Sesson Franks in Sonora, Texas. Growing up in the depression to a game warden and a waitress, he lived in many different Texas cities.He was drafted into the Army in 1951 as a Ranger and was sent home in 1952, after the tragic death of his father in Fort Stockton.In 1953, he moved to Angelo, working odd jobs but eventually in front-end alignments for Sid Lumley. In 1955, with the help of his charm, race skills and his 1932 Coupe, he met Kay Koon. were soon married.In 1969, he opened his own front-end alignment shop on 5th Street, then in the late 1970s moved to Good Year Proving Grounds to work on trucks and front ends. In his spare time, he raced drag boats, which at the time of his death, he still owned. He also loved working on old cars, especially his 1927 Ford and 1956 Chevy.He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; uncles and cousins.He is survived by wife of 58 years, Kay of San Angelo; daughter Gena Franks-Hughes and husband Mark; and his sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Perry Richardson of Birmingham, AL. Obituary: Mr. D. Raymond Franks passed away Easter , 5, 2015 at the Arbor, Nacogdoches, Texas, at the age of 94 years. Raymond was born 13, 1920, in Dublin, Texas, to Helen H. Franks and D.R. Franks Sr. He was married for 66 years to his beloved wife, Ann Elizabeth Ellis Franks, who preceded him in death on 29, 2014. Ann and Raymond lived in Brownwood, Texas, from the date of their marriage, 2, 1948, until 1974 when they moved to Nacogdoches. He was a highly respected and successful pharmaceutical representative for Merck for over 40 years. Raymond was active in both communities. He was a faithful follower of Christ and a loyal member of the First United Methodist Church of both Brownwood and Nacogdoches. He was a member and past Director of Rotary International and a proud Long Horn, having attended The University of Texas School of Pharmacy prior to WWII. Raymond was a decorated veteran of WW II. As a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Air Corps, he served his country proudly as a navigator in B-24s. He flew numerous missions over Germany from Allied bases in England and Ireland and was awarded several medals including the Distinguished Flying Cross. He is survived by his daughter, Helen Lorine Franks of Giddings, Texas, and a host of nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Harriet Skeen; his son, Dale Franks; his wife, Ann Franks; and his brothers and sisters-in law William R. Ellis Jr. and Mary Lou Ellis, and John D. Allen and Francis Lee Allen. Raymond loved his family, his Lord and Savior, his church, his many friends and his golf. A celebration of life service remembering D. Raymond Franks will be held at 1:30 p.m. , 9, 2015, at Cason Monk-Metcalfs Sunset Chapel with Rev. John Bingham and Rev. Trent Oliver officiating. Burial will be on , 10, 2015, in the family plot at Greenleaf Memorial in Brownwood, Texas. The Chapel will be open for visitors at 12:30 p.m. on , 9, with the service beginning at 1:30 p.m. Honorary pallbearers are Roy Blake, Billy Willis, Bob Lawson, Tom Huey, Gary Pankratz, Tom Franks, and members of the Open Door School Class.
