Obituary: Our hearts are saddened as we share the loss of our loved one. Sharon was born Sept. 8, 1953, in New Albany, Ind., to the late Everett and Bonnie Mayfield and passed away peacefully Dec. 2, 2009, at her home in Tyler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel A. "Sammy" Forsgard. Survivors include her four children: daughter, Sharon R. Burns and husband Jeffrey of Nashville, Tenn.; son, Jerry Jenkins and wife Sheryl of Metaire, La.; son, James Jenkins and wife Kelly of Floyds Knobs, Ind.; and daughter, Stacy Higginbotham and husband Tim of Northern Highlandia. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren: Dustin, Melissa, Daniel, Victoria, Stephen, Bethany, Ashley, Abigail, Timothy, Laura, Taylor, Sydney, Samantha, Zoe, Jade, Matthew and Jakob. She leaves five siblings: Linda Johnston, Gerald "Butch" Mayfield, Jay Mayfield, Janet Mayfield and Vicki Busby; her fianc?Barry Faurot; many friends at Aramark in Tyler where she worked for more than 20 years; and friends at church and throughout the community. Her life was a blessing to those who knew and loved her. She was a friend to all and had a large and giving spirit. Visitation for Sharon K. Forsgard is scheduled for 3 to 5 p.m. on , Dec. 6, 2009, and services are at 1:30 pm on at Lloyd James . Burial will be in Tyler at the Cathedral of the Pines , ceremony to be performed by Preacher Mike Morrow of the Cross Brand Cowboy Church. Donations may be sent in lieu of flowers in her honor to Caldwell Zoo where she spent endless hours with her family. |

Obituary: Services for Sam M. Forsgard Jr., 91, of Tyler are scheduled for 10:00am, , 20, 2015 at Lloyd James Chapel with Rev. Gerry Giles and Bro. Joe Canal officiating. Burial will in Cathedral in the Pines under the direction of Lloyd James . Mr. Forsgard passed away on , 15, 2015 in Tyler surrounded by family and friends. He was born on 31, 1924, in Waco to the late Sam M. Forsgard Sr. and Bernice Wilkie Forsgard. He attended Waco public schools and received his degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University. Mr. Forsgard was an Air Force Veteran of WW II. He had lived in Tyler since 1952 and was director of personnel and labor relations at Western Foundry and Bonar Packaging Inc., having retired from Bonar in 1992. He served as president or a board member of various professional, civic and charitable organizations. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine Davis Forsgard in 1979; and son, Sam A. Forsgard in 2006. He is survived by his current wife, LaDelle Forsgard; daughter, Susan E. Forsgard, both of Tyler; sisters, Sylvia Vaughan of Garland and Ann Marie McDonald of San Angelo; and several nieces and grandnieces. Pallbearers are Bill Ruby, Bob Shamburger, Dick Rubin, John Spencer, Tony Mourelatos and Joe Wilson. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Cooke, Michael Lydon, Charlie Fields and Jeff Martin. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm, , 19, 2015 at the funeral home.
