Obituary: Clarence Chuck Foltz was known to some as Chuck ODouls and to the family as simply Babe. The name came from a beloved story read to him by his sisters from grade school. The character in the story was Baby Ray and, since his middle name was Raymond, they started calling him Baby Ray which was shortened to Babe. Loved for his humor, even if we didn get the joke, his wisdom he shared from all his experiences, his courage in the face of any obstacles, and the love he had for everyone he knew. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 26 years before retiring in of 1973. He belonged to the VFW Post 6012 and the American Legion for many years. He is survived by his younger two siblings - Adel Howard of Hobart, IN and Marion Mike Foltz of Herscher, IL; four children- Susan Foltz of Playa Del Rey, CA, Edward Foltz and wife Jo Ann of Gig Harbor, WA, Vivian Foltz of San Antonio, and Mike Foltz and wife Stacey of San Antonio; two grandchildren- Morgan Payg Everett of San Antonio, TX and Aiden Foltz of Washington; two step-granddaughters- Kasaundra Everett and Laticia Herrera, both in Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on 15, 2015 at Sunset Northwest home from 5-9 pm. A graveside service will be held on 16, 2015 at Ft. Sam Houston National at 10:15 am. |

Obituary: Al Ray Foltz, age 77, entered into eternal rest on 11, 2011 at Gracy Woods II in Austin, Texas after a long battle with frontal temporal dementia and aphasia. Born in McClure, Illinois, Mr. Foltz lived in Tamms, Illinois through his youth and was a 1951 graduate of Thebes Township High School. He joined the Army after high school, and rose to the rank of Sergeant in the 188th Airborne Infantry Regiment and the 80th Airborne Battalion of the US Army during the Korean War, where he achieved the title of Senior Parachutist. completing his active military service, he trained as a precision tool-and-die maker at Caterpillar Tractor in Illinois for eight years. He then worked at Union Carbide Corporation for 28 years, first in Paducah, Kentucky and then in Taft, Louisiana, rising to the position of Senior Machinery Specialist, Industrial Chemicals Division. He retired to Round Rock, Texas in 1992. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Round Rock, and a member of the Williamson Genealogical Society. Mr. Foltz was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Lee Foltz and Edith Riley Foltz, and three sisters, Janie Oberts, Edith McCormick, and Vergie Lipe McRaven. He is survived by his loving wife Karen Gill Foltz, daughter Lori Foltz Fabian, and stepdaughter Lee Tamplin Fuerst; twin sister Annabelle Lloyd and brothers Robert Lee Foltz and Virgil Eugene Foltz; sons-in-law Michael Fabian and Major Alex Fuerst, grandchildren Brianne Fabian Hershey, Caroline and Genevieve Fabian, Megan Barkdull, Matthew and Allison Fuerst; former wife Joyce Pirtle Foltz, mother-in-law Rose Fulkes Gill, brothers-in-law Jeffrey Gill and Robert Lloyd, sisters-in-law Norma Jean Wiseman Foltz and Joyce Dimple Newton Foltz, and numerous nieces and nephews. During the years, he loved bowling, country western dancing, wood working, and gardening. He enjoyed selling barbecue wood, firewood, and garden tomatoes on Sam Bass Road as a hobby for several years. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at Gracy Woods II, Lighthouse Hospice, and the Waco VA Medical , Building 11, for their kind and compassionate care. He was born 5, 1958, in El Campo, TX to Boyd and Dorothy Hlozek Foltyn. He graduated from Nacogdoches High School in Nacogdoches, TX in 1976. He grew up on the ranch in Douglass, TX before moving to the Texas Panhandle to live out his dream of being an American cowboy of riding horses on the prairies and in the canyons and draws where he would herd, rope, brand and doctor cattle or bring them in to be sold. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy H. Foltyn and brother, Douglas John Foltyn. Survivors include his father, Boyd Foltyn; brothers Mike and Darrell Foltyn; sisters Phyllis F. Wilburn and Marilyn F. Nye and two nieces and one nephew. Graveside services will be 11 am , 17, 2013 at Garden of Memories with Rev. Albert Yankey officiating. Obituary: Shirley Faye Folsom, 75, of Pasadena TX passed away peacefully with her loving husband by her side on , 21, 2015. She was born 14, 1939 in Alexander City, Alabama to Elton and Ruth Harris. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bobby Harris. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, George Wyatt Folsom, son George (Randy) Folsom and his wife Linda, Daughters Vickie Folsom Nicholson and Cynthia (Cindy) Moise and her husband Doug, grandchildren, Brandy Williams and her husband Chris, Bryan Nicholson and his significant other Tashia, Danielle Folsom and her significant other Luke, great grandchildren Aspyn and Maegan Williams who were the light of her life. Aspyn and Maegan brought her such amazing joy. She was a selfless wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, caregiver and friend. Her whole life was spent taking care of others. In addition to her husband, three children, three grandchildren, two great granddaughters and extended family and friends she was MaMa to all. MaMa was one of a kind, always thinking of others, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were her world. She filled her familys life with so much joy and happiness. She was a devoted animal lover and rescued many pets. We have been so honored to love her and to be loved by her. We have so many wonderful memories to cherish until we meet again.
