Obituary: Jerry Lee Folsom was born 13, 1940 in Ringling, OK and passed away May 17, 2012 at his home in Rockwall, TX. Jerry was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He married the love of his life Jacqueline Phillips in 1960 in Phoenix, AZ. He joined the Navy at an early age serving his country for 21 years receiving numerous promotions, awards, and medals retiring in Hawaii in 1977. his Navy service Jerry graduated from Linda Vista Bible and Seminary with a Bachelor of Arts, Chaminade of Honolulu with a Bachelor of General Studies and New Mexico State University with his Master of Arts in 1980. Jerry served the Lord as a Minister for over 20 years at various churches in New Mexico, Arizona, California and Oklahoma. retiring from the ministry Jerry obtained his Teaching Certificate from South Western in 1995 and worked as a teacher from 1995-2004 in Lawton, OK. He was recognized as Teacher of the Year and received various other Awards of Excellency. moving to Rockwall, TX Jerry continued his teaching career 5 more years as a substitute teacher in the Rockwall ISD. Jerry enjoyed golf and was an avid Oklahoma Sooner fan attending home games for the past 20 years until his health prevented him from doing so. As a minister Jerry had the privilege of performing the marriage ceremonies of his children and the Baptism of his granddaughter. He also enjoyed endless games of Skipbo and Train with his grandson, as well as weekly card games with close friends. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jacqueline Phillips Folsom; daughter and son-in-law, Janiell and Bob Jernigan, Rockwall, TX; son and daughter-in-law, John and Ailey Folsom, Arlington, TX; granddaughter, Lauren Jernigan and grandson, Ethan Jernigan , as well as, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. |

Obituary: Heaven gained another angel! Elizabeth Sadie Ashmore Folsom died peacefully in her sleep on , May 8, 2015. Born on 1, 1918 in Greenville Texas to the late Abraham and Sadie Ashmore. she was the 6th of 8 children. As the last surviving member of her immediate family, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her brothers John, Rodney, George and Joe and sisters Martha, Minnie and Annie. Elizabeth married Lanny Folsom in 1943, at which time they boarded a train for California, where he was stationed in the Army. traveled from coast to coast and state to state, finally settling in Dallas in the late 1940s, glad to be back with her extended family. As founding members of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Elizabeth devoted countless hours volunteering in the school and the church. She was also a devoted fan of the SMU Mustangs. Along with her husband Lanny, they followed the football and basketball teams as they competed over the decades. a lengthy illness, her Lanny passed away in 1982. A woman of strong faith, quiet will and tenacity, she loved to help others. Ever ready to help, Elizabeth would give the shirt off her back if that was what was needed. Loved and respected by family and friends, she would light up the room with her beauty and sharp wit. She loved to laugh, give hugs and spread cheer wherever she went. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind. As the smallest in the family, she learned to run fast and would explain "dynamite comes in small packages!" Loved by everyone, especially her nieces and nephews, she was nicknamed "Bubut", a term of endearment they still call her today. Elizabeth is survived by son Robert Folsom and wife Brenda; daughter Bunny Ridenour and husband Robert; granddaughters Rhonda Folsom, Robin Spurlock, Tracy Hall, Melissa Bailey, e McKethan, Aimee Richards; nine-great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren, sister-in-law Helen Ashmore and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to Elizabeth's devoted caregivers, Linda and Gloria. For almost five years, they have loved her, encouraged her, laughed and cried with her, and cared for her with grace and compassion, allowing Elizabeth to live and die with dignity. The family will be forever grateful. The celebration of Elizabeth's life will be , May 11th, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Sparkman Crane on Garland Road in Dallas. Mass of Christian Burial and internment will be , May 12th at 10:00am at the North Chapel at Calvary Hill on Lombardy Lane. |

Obituary: Ursula Folse of Austin, Texas was 87 years old when she passed from this life. She did so peacefully at her home early morning, 31, 2015. Ursula was born in Halle Germany. She met a handsome U.S. Air Force G.I. named Maurice and the two were married on 26, 1952. The two were stationed in a couple of different countries and had two children in the meantime. retired to Texas at Bergstrom Air Force Base in 1968. Ursula worked at Sage Department Store and Foley's before retiring in order to stay home and watch her grandchildren. Ursula was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice, and son, Michael David. Family members still here to celebrate Ursula's life are daughter Maureen Thrash and her husband, Tim, of Austin. Grandchildren Darrell Dobias and his wife, Christina, of Cedar Park, Lindsay McSpadden and her husband, Justin, of Cedar Park, and Paige Thrash of Austin, and great-grandchildren Jackson and Tripp Dobias. Services will be held on , 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Cook-Walden located at 6100 North Lamar Blvd. in Austin. Interment will follow Cook-Walden Memorial Hill cemetery in Pflugerville. Obituary: Maurice Folse of Austin, Texas was 84 years old when he passed from this life. He did so peacefully at his home last night 5, 2014. In 1948, after high school Maurice joined the Air Force. While stationed in Germany he met his wife of 62 years, Ursula Scheibe. were married on 26th, 1952 in Wiesbaden Germany. had 2 children and he retired in Austin at Bergstrom Air Force Base in 1968. He soon became a Mail Carrier working as a mail man from 1969 to 1992. Maurice was preceded in death by his son Michael David Folse. Family members still here to celebrate Maurices life are his beloved wife, Ursula Scheibe Folse, his daughter Maureen and husband Tim Thrash of Austin, Texas, daughter Elka Johnson of San Jose, California. His Grandchildren: Darrell and wife Christina Dobias of Cedar Park, Texas, Lindsay and husband Justin McSpadden of Austin, Texas, Paige Thrash of Austin, Texas and Noah and wife Laurie Lampkin of Folsom, California.
