Obituary: Services for James Robert Flowers, Sr., 75, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. , 29, 2015 in the Gipson Chapel, with David Flowers officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mr. Flowers was born 22, 1940 in Wells, Texas, the son of the late Hazel (McKnight) and Lonnie James Flowers. He passed away , 27, 2015 in a local hospice facility. Mr. Flowers was a very hard-working, loyal, very giving and wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was very charismatic and enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed traveling and sightseeing. Mr. Flowers was a 25-year member of Victory Assembly of God. He was retired from Southwest Color Print following 40 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Ina Ruth Flowers of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and David Ditsworth of Lufkin; son, James Robert Flowers, Jr. of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Janice Flowers of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Mark Gorman of Lufkin; grandchildren, Michael, Adam, Andrew, Gunner, Nicole, Maegan, B. J., Michael, Aaron, Matthew and Trent; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lonnie W. and Amber Flowers and Larry and Linda Flowers; sisters, Joyce Nottleman and Marlyn Pena; brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Arlene Flowers; and brother, James Tracy Flowers. He was loved and will be missed by all. In addition to his parents, Mr. Flowers was preceded in death by his sister, Delores Hall; and grandson, Timothy Ditsworth. Pallbearers will be Michael Ditsworth, Adam Ditsworth, Andrew Ditsworth, B. J. Flowers, Michael Smith and Aaron Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Gunner Ditsworth, Matthew Gorman and Trent Gorman. Memorial contributions in Mr. Flowers memory may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, TX 75904.
