Obituary: Toni Marie Fisher, 69, passed from this earth to be with her Lord and Savior on , May 30th, 2014. She was born on 18th, 1944 in San Diego, California to John and Marie Brown. For the past 20 years, she had lived and worked in the Houston, Texas area as a music educator and administrator. During this period, Toni had been the Magnet School Fine Arts Coordinator at Pershing Middle School in Houston and she spent the last few years of her career as the Music and Choir Teacher at Longfellow Elementary. Toni retired from teaching in May 2013 after 48 years in that profession. She was an incredible teacher and mentor to thousands of students and has touched the lives of so many of them with her passion for music and the arts. She was indeed a musicians musician as she was an accomplished woodwind player as well as being a very talented vocalist. Toni graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri with a Bachelors in Music Education and began her over four decade teaching career in a field dominated mostly by men. But that did not stop her, as this woman was determined to be the very best she could be for herself, for her family, and for her students. She became a band director at high schools in Iowa and Missouri and was very successful in this field before becoming an administrator. Toni was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 40 years, Jon Fisher, and by her father, John Brown, and by her father-in-law, Elwood Fisher. She is survived by her mother, Marie Brown, of Omaha, Nebraska, her brother, Joe, and his wife, Cindy, also of Omaha, her son Mark and his wife, Sherry, and their children, Amber and Derrek, and her daughter, Anne Montgomery, and her children, John Michael, Ella Marie, and Havyn Kathleen, all of Houston. She is also survived by her mother-in law, Kathleen Adams of Houston, her brother-in-law, David Fisher and his wife Susan, of Houston, nephew, Brian Fisher, and his wife, Sonia, and their children, Hayden and Evelyn of Houston, and niece, Allison Boucher, and her husband, Chris, and their children, Finley and Vincent, also of Houston. This wonderful and caring woman will be missed by all of her family, friends, fellow teachers and students so very, very much. Heres something Toni would have liked for us all to understand: From the day we arrive on the planet, And blinking, step into the sun, Theres more than can ever be done, Theres more to see than can ever be seen, Theres far more to do than can ever be done, Theres far too much to take in here, More to find than can ever be found, But the sun rolling high through the sapphire sky, Keeps great and small on the endless round. Its the Circle of Life, And it moves us all, Through despair and hope, Through faith and love, Till we find our place On the path unwinding In the Circle, The Circle of Life. Obituary: Thomas Ray Fisher, 84, of Killeen, TX passed away peacefully on , 2, 2015 at Rosewood Skilled . Born in Forrest City, AR to Roy & Pearl Fisher, he lived most of his life in Killeen. Thomas served in the US Army for 24 years with tours of duty in Korea, Germany & Vietnam. His awards & decorations included the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was actively involved in the community with numerous organizations such as the Veterans of Foreign War, Purple Heart, Disabled Veterans, America Legion and the 40/8. Thomas was also a member of the Karem Shrine and a 32 degree Mason; he was also a member of First Baptist Church Killeen He leaves behind his wife of 50 years Lenora Fisher, daughter Lisa Huff, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5-7pm at Crawford-Bowers in Killeen; funeral service will be at 1:30pm at Crawford-Bowers with Dr. Randy Wallace officiating.
