Obituary: Services will be at 11 a.m. in Memorial Park with Regi Fowler of First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park by Memorial Park , 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mr. Fisher was born Feb. 15, 1936, in Springfield, Mo., to r and Mammie Fisher. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1959. being discharged from the Army, he moved to Amarillo and went to work for Ideal Paint & Body for 32 years. He continued in the paint and body business until his retirement in 2001. One of his favorite pastimes was spending time with his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; four sisters; and a granddaughter. Survivors include a son, Robert Fisher of Amarillo; a daughter, Ronda Fisher of Amarillo; two brothers, Robert Fisher and Lyle Fisher, both of Springfield; two sisters, Barbara Sue Daughtery and Freda Martin, both of Springfield; four grandchildren, Justin Fisher, Alan Fisher, Chase Robone and Nicole Fisher; four great-grandchildren; and his best friend, Arleta Fisher of Amarillo. |

Obituary: John Thomas Fisher was born 22nd, 1929, in Terre Haute, Indiana, and died on 19th, 2007, in San Antonio, Texas, from complications of pneumonia. Life challenged him early as his mother died from a middle ear infection shortly after he was born. Raised by aunts in Terre Haute, he graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and began his career as part of the national defense effort to develop special fuels for a high-powered bomber during the Cold War. Too young to serve in World War II, he joined the National Guard and eventually left for a long career with DuPont. Marrying Patricia Turpen in Terre Haute in 1952, they moved to Beaumont, Texas in 1960. John worked for DuPont until he retired in 1990. Along the way, he traveled the state of Texas with his equestrian son Tom, who won a state championship with his proud father at his side. retiring, John and Pat moved to San Antonio, Texas, where they spent their remaining years together. He was preceded in death by Pat, his wife of 53 years, and son, William. Survivors include son Steven J. Fisher, M.D., his wife, Dagne, and their children Marissa and Raynor; son Thomas D. Fisher, M.D., his domestic partner Deborah D. Douglas, M.D., and his children Lauren and Weston; daughter Julie Bush, her husband Harry James Skip Bush, III, and their children Brianna and Harry James Tiger Bush IV. Our father would have grinned, and perhaps chuckled a bit, if he were to have heard us say that he lived life on his own terms. The family would like to extend their thanks to the caregivers at Kindred Hospital. A private interment will be held in San Antonio, TX. |

Obituary: DENISON-Jimmie Lou Newton Fisher, 90, passed away , 20, 2015 in Denison, Texas. Visitation will be , 24, 2015 from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Bratcher . Service will be 11:00 A.M., , 25, 2015 at Faith Church, Sherman, Texas with Pastor Charles Glass officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Sherman, Texas. Pallbearers will be Jack B. Lilley, Horace Groff, Mark Schleuse, Ben Jacobs, Mark Eubanks and David Bayless Jr. Jimmie was born 15, 1924 in Odell, Texas to George and Elizabeth Newton. She was a High School graduate; she married F.L. Pete Fisher in Denison on 23, 1946 and was a mother and homemaker. She was a member of Denison Rod n Gun Club, Woodlawn Country Club, Camp Sandy Point, Denison-Sherman Tennis Association, Denison Service League, Junior Alpha Delpha, Denison Womens Investment, Review Club, Night Bridge Group that later turned into afternoon Bridge Group and Chelsea Street Garden Club. She had around 65 years of many, many Tennis Tournament winnings. She was a big part of getting tennis back in existence in this area. She is survived by sons Alan Fisher of Sherman, Texas, Kelly Fisher of Plano, Texas; daughter Becky Rains and husband Tommy of Sherman, Texas; grandsons Brad Fisher and wife Amber of Denison, Texas, Chris Oubre and wife Chelsi of Meridian, Mississippi; two Great Grandchildren and one Great-Great Grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Frank Leon Pete Fisher, and 7 siblings. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Grayson Hospice.
