Obituary: William Brock Faulkner, 34, of Bryan was released to the presence of Jesus on , 17, 2016, after fighting a two-year battle with leukemia. Born on 28, 1981 in Bryan to Bill and Martha Faulkner, Brock married Brittney Schlatre May 22, 2004 in Baton Rouge, LA. He graduated from Bryan High School in 2000, and earned his Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. degrees from Texas A&M in Agricultural Engineering. He was a proud member of the Fightin Texas Aggie Band (A-Battery), Class of 2004. Brock learned to ranch from his Granddaddy. From those earliest days driving t-posts to establishing his own beef cattle operation, he was deeply connected to the family land. His career in teaching culminated in serving as Assistant Professor at A&M; he advised the Secretary of Agriculture on the USDA Agricultural Air Quality Task Force, to which he was just re-appointed; and he consulted for cattle ranchers in Colorado. Among his many awards are the 2012 Texas A&M of Agriculture Award for Outstanding Achievement in Early er Research, and the 2014 Gale Holloway ASABE Professional Development Award. His greatest professional joy, though, was working with students. He leaves an uncommon legacy of young men and women who were deeply impacted by his teaching and mentorship. Brock served as an elder with Community Church of Bryan/ Station. His personal investment in his church community was wholehearted, even in his most difficult seasons. Above all his professional and ranching achievements, Brocks deepest love was and is for Jesus, his wife, children, family, friends, and the people of Community Church. Brock is survived by his wife Brittney, son Emery, daughter Lyla Kate, and son Charlie; his mother Martha Faulkner, his brother and sister-in-law C.W. and Emily Faulkner and their children Brenna, Joseph, & Carly; and numerous other devoted family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Bill. Visitation will be , 20, 3:30-6:00 p.m. at Memorial Chapel in Bryan. A service celebrating Brocks life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on , 21 at Grace Bible Church Anderson Campus in Station. A graveside service will follow at Reliance Church in Reliance, northeast of Bryan. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Faulkner Fund through Community Church would be appreciated. These will be used to support Brock's children, other families going through cancer treatment, and to plant trees on the family ranch in Brock's honor. Obituary: Beth Weatherall Faulkner passed away on 11, 2017, at the age of 95. She was born to the late Grace Savilla McLarty and Turner Thomason Weatherall in Electra, Texas, 2, 1922. Reared in Electra, she graduated as Valedictorian from Electra High School in 1939. She graduated Cum Laude from Baylor University in 1943. At Baylor, she was a member of the honorary societies Alpha Chi (national honor society,) Sigma Tau Delta, and Kappa Delta Pi. In 1947, she married Robert Frank Faulkner, also of Electra, Texas. He had recently retired from the Army Air Corps. first lived on the campus of the University of Oklahoma while he finished his degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1948, they moved to Tyler, where they have lived ever after. She was a homemaker, and devoted to Bob and her family of three generations. She strived to live a life dedicated to family, friends and her Christian faith. She and Bob joined Marvin United Methodist Church when they moved to Tyler in 1948. She was a lifetime member of the Crusaders Class and served many years in the United Methodist Women and as a children's School teacher. She enjoyed working with children and was a volunteer at several preschools, as well as an aide at several public schools, including Caldwell and Bonner. She loved books and reading was a favorite pastime, as was playing Mah Jongg with friends and family. She was an active member of the Quid Nunc Club for over fifty years. She enjoyed travel to many countries, especially with family, and traveled with Bob to golf resorts around the United States. She played golf at Willow Brook Country Club with the Ladies Golf Association for many years. She and Bob enjoyed golf together and won the Couples Championship Golf Tournament at Willow Brook three times. She is survived by her husband, Robert Frank Faulkner of Tyler; her daughters and their husbands: Karen and Donald Key, and Elizabeth and Richard Kirwan, both of Dallas; four grandchildren and their spouses: Robert Faulkner Kirwan and Mary Lauren, of Dallas, Captain Richard Michael Kirwan, Jr. and Heather, of Enid, Oklahoma, Courtney Kirwan Cannon and Shane, of Station, and James Thomason Kirwan of Dallas; three great grand children: Molly McClaine Kirwan and John Faulkner Kirwan of Dallas, and Andrew Michael Cannon of Station; her sister Ann Weatherall Iler and husband, John of Houston; three nephews and their spouses: David Iler and Sherri, Jay Iler and Leslie, and Marshall Iler and Meredith, all of Houston; and a number of great nieces and nephews. Following a private burial at Rose Hill , a memorial service will be held on , 16, at 11:00 a.m. at Marvin United Methodist Church chapel, celebrating her life and love for the Lord. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to St Paul Children's Foundation, the Music Ministry at Marvin United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
