Obituary: Flora Womack Fancher, 92, of Paris, went to her Heavenly home, , 8, 2016 at Paris Regional Medical . Bright-Holland has scheduled a graveside service for 2:00 pm, , 11, 2016 at Evergreen with Reverend Bill Dickey and Reverend Tim Couch officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-8 pm, at the funeral home. Mrs. Fancher was born 19, 1923 in Grant, Oklahoma to Pete and Tillie Spills Russell. During her married life, she was a Baptist minister’s wife. She supported her husband and assisted him as they ministered to their churches. Mrs. Fancher was a godly woman and a constant encourager and Christian witness, to all she came in contact with. She also had a great voice and dearly loved singing. She and Mr. Womack owned and operated Womack Floor Covering in Paris for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Floyd Womack and her last husband, Cloys Fancher; a special friend, Eddie Baker as well as several brothers and sister. Survivors include her three daughters, Patsy Talent of Paris, Shirley Basinger & husband Dickie of Emberson and Peggy Bryan & husband Jim of Paris; a granddaughter, Tammy Basinger of Sumner; six grandsons, Mark Talent & wife Joan of Rowlett, Monte Talent & wife Sherry of Rowlett, Randy Basinger & wife Missie of Emberson, Brice Basinger & wife Dorese of Emberson, Chesley Bryan & wife Amanda of Tyler and Cheyney Bryan & wife Katharine of Paris; 5 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Russell of Van and Clarence Russell of Whittier, CA; along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family extends special thanks to Heather McHenry and Debbie Raney, who were caregivers to Mrs. Fancher. Casket bearers will be Mrs. Fancher’s grandsons. |

Obituary: Services for Lucille Fancher, 93, of Tyler, are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. , 13, 2014, at Lloyd James chapel with Rev. Pat Alvey and Rev. Gary Fielding officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill . Visitation will be from 5:30-7:00pm on , 12, 2014, at the funeral home. Mrs. Fancher passed from this earth to her heavenly home on , 11, 2014, at The Hospice of East Texas. She was born 24, 1921, in Martins Mill, to the late W. B. and Ethie Williams. She graduated from Martins Mill High School. Her main occupations were seamstress and homemaker; however, she worked at Sears for a while in the 1950's, and later worked for a brief time at Esther's Fabrics. She was the longest time living member of Friendly Baptist Church in Tyler, which she became a part of on 25, 1950, and faithfully attended the Miriam School class there. Lucille had many talents, but the two that first come to mind are sewing and baking. She was a great seamstress and has sewn for many people through the years. started out as one of her "customers", but quickly became one of her "friends". Her chocolate pies and cakes often made their way into other's homes. Grandchildren have had many sleepovers and frosted cokes at her house along with her famous chocolate chip cookies; which were even baked for her great grandchildren. She was the best wife, mother and grandmother that you could ever have. She was a great example of what a mother should be. She taught us the importance of God and family. We will never run out of fond memories when we think of her. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 65 years, James C. "Pete" Fancher, and has now joined him in heaven and is whole again. She can once again enjoy her love of conversation. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Gordon Grubbs of Terrell, Debbie and Coy Dodd of Tyler; grandchildren, Kim Boone Sidow, Shelli Boone Sidow, Tracy Boone, Mendi Grubbs Thompson, Candice Dodd Zimmerman, and Heather Dodd Johnson; 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Marguerite McEvoy of Garland and brother, Joe Williams of Martins Mill. Pallbearers will be grandson Tracy Boone, and grandsons-in-law Steve Sidow, Steve Thompson, Jeff Zimmerman, Steve Johnson, and long-time friend Kenneth Hicks. Memorials may be made to the Friendly Baptist Church, 1903 E. Front Street, Tyler, Texas 75702; or The Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, Texas 75701. |
