Obituary: Gertrude "Trudy" Farber, of New Market, TN, formerly of Melbourne, FL, was born 28, 1925, passed away on 31, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Eva Howard; brother, Edward Howard; daughter, Lynda OConnor; and son, Phil Furman. Trudy volunteered at the "Friends of the Library" and Pelican School in Sebastian, FL. She previously worked as a nurse at Good Samaritan in Suffern, NY. Her talents were in assorted hand-made crafts. She is survived by her husband, Milton Farber of New Market, TN; daughters, Jeanne Jones of Jefferson City, TN and Nancy Heath of Mascot, TN; and son, Garry Furman of Middletown, NY; sister, Alice Sloat of Melbourne, FL; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Obituary: William Hanna Farah, 84, of Chattanooga, went home to be with his Lord and Savior , 26, 2016. William was born in Bethlehem, Palestine, spent his boyhood days in Nazareth and attended high school in Gaza. He was employed by the United Nations (UNRWA). He immigrated to the United States and became a naturalized citizen. He graduated from Carson-Newman and received his Master of Business Administration from East Tennessee State University. He was employed by American St. Gobain in Kingsport. He later took a job as an accountant with BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee where he retired after 24 years of service. He was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church where he was a deacon, teacher, and served 37 years as church treasurer. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Hanna and Rafiha, and by two brothers Alfred and Wileed all of Gaza. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Carolyn; daughter, Linda (Michael) Snell and his son John (Karissa) Farah; five grandchildren, David and Andrew Snell; James, Karlee, and Lindsey Farah all of Chattanooga; brother Bahir in Australia; sisters, Aya of Baltimore, Soura and Ilham of Gaza and several nieces and nephews. The family request memorial contributions be made to Silverdale Baptist Church Building Fund, 7236 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. , 29, 2016 at Silverdale Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Walliser and the Rev. Eddie Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens East. Obituary: Susan Fant Susan Maxine Fant, 62, of Chattanooga died on , 17, 2010. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and loved by all that knew her. As an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church, she participated in the Catholic Womens league, and a longtime member of the MOMs group. Susan and her husband Mark were also involved with several children through Foster Program. She also was a Chemistry Lab Professor at UTC and a Chemist at Chattem for several years. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Edward Hock. Survivors include her husband, Mark Fant, Sr.; son, Mark David (Emily) Fant; grandson, Jaxon; mother, Maxine Hock; siblings, Dave Hock, Edward Hock, Barbara Mecomber and Mary Alexander and several nieces and nephews.
