Obituary: Hazel Agnes Fritzler was quietly called from earth to join her loved ones in heaven on Oct. 29, 2015. She was born on 1, 1920, and lived a full life of 95 years. Born in Keota in northeastern Weld , she lived on a farm with her parents and family before marrying a farmer. Most of her younger years were in the Kersey area where she graduated from Kersey High School in 1939. In 1940 she married Rhienholt Fritzler and lived in Eaton, Severance and Goodrich before moving to the Kuner area in 1951 until Rhienholt passed in 1969. She moved to Greeley in 1970. Hazel spent the last 5 years of her life in the Sacramento, Calif. area near her daughter. Now she takes her last flight home. As most farm women she worked very hard, in the fields, in the dairy barn, in the garden and in the home where she canned much from the garden. She sewed and did needle work. She took great satisfaction in providing for her family. When the children grew up she was able to turn her talents in other directions. Hazel enjoyed the Kuner Circle and her card playing groups. She loved volunteering in the hospital and spending time with the Womens Guild at Trinity Lutheran Church. Hazel discovered and loved golf, bowling and traveling as well as the social life around those activities. She loved spending time and traveling with her family on the west coast and the east coast. A highlight, for her, was traveling to Europe and on to Israel and the holy lands. As a woman she was soft-spoken, shy, accepting and loving of others while holding very high standards for herself. She was compassionate, thoughtful and determined. In the last few years of her life she may have slowed down but continued her love of exercise despite breaking bones on three occasions. Each time she rebounded and continued exercising at a local fitness center with her trainer where she was celebrated as a role model on her 95th birthday. She is survived by her sister, Mildred Buxman; sister-in-law Bonnie Rothe; daughters, Miriam (Alan) Ainbinder and Dianna (Bruce) Mangerich; her granddaughters, Lori and Lisa Ainbinder; numerous nieces, nephews and their children. Hazel is preceded in death by parents, Walter and Elsie Kress Rothe; brothers, Walter, Warner, Frank, Wallace, Roy, Curtis and Melvin and sister Evelyn Winters; and her especially loved daughter Darlene Fritzler. Services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Nov. 6, 2015, at the church where she was baptized, confirmed and married Trinity Lutheran Church located at 3000 35th Ave. in Greeley. Interment will be at 3 p.m., Nov. 6, 2015, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Greeley. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Trinity Lutheran Womens Guild. |
