Born in Pottstown he was the son of the late Miriam V. (Hahn) and Warren B. Frain, Sr... Butch was a 1957 graduate of Boyertown High School, a member of the Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Boyertown. He was also a life member of the Keystone Fire and the Friendship Hook & Ladder Fire , Boyertown. Butch enjoyed golfing and collecting pocket watches. He was employed by the former Dohler Jarvis as a Journeyman Machinist for 33 years, retiring in 1998. his retirement from Dohler Jarvis he was a part time courier for the Boyertown National Penn Bank. Surviving with his wife Shirley of 46 years (Married 27, 1965) are two daughters, Beth Weinsteiger of ville and Linda and her companion Ron Hoffman of Reading; a sister, Shirley Scheetz of Boyertown; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Butch was predeceased by a daughter, Cheryl L. Frain and a brother Stanley Frain. services will be 11 A.M., , 16, 2011 at the Linwood W. Ott , Inc., 111 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown. Obituary: Robert S. Frain, 91, of Gilbertsville, widower of the late Evelyn M. (Schroeder) Frain, passed away in the Manatawny Manor on , May 22, 2015. Born in Boyertown, he was a son of the late Irene E. (Schlegel) Frain and Elmer S. Frain. Always hardworking throughout his life, Robert started young, selling papers, plucking chickens, and working on a baker route with his father. He was a 1941 graduate of Boyertown High School, serving as Class President, and was a member of the Cross Country and Track teams. He was employed by Dana Corporation for 36 years and served as a Manager of the Heat Treat and Lab departments. Robert was a lifetime member of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boyertown, teaching 5thgrade School with his wife, and serving as an usher team captain. Robert served in the US Navy during WWII, serving in the Torpedo Squadron 16, based aboard the aircraft carrier USS Randolph. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America for over 67 years, serving 30 years as Scoutmaster of Boyertown Troop 3 (Troop 503). During Roberts time of scouting he was an Eagle Scout and received the Silver Beaver and the God and Country Award. For his dedication and many years of service to Scouting in Boyertown, Robert was honored as the Boyertown Jaycees Man of the Year for 1969. retirement, Robert became interested in genealogy, tracing his family routes. He and his wife even traveled to the Granit Mountain Records Vault in Salt Lake City to conduct research. He is survived by his daughters, Patricia F., wife of Gary Conrad of Malvern and JoAnn, wife of Richard A. Magners of Martinsburg, WV.; and his son, Robert B. husband of Kim D. Frain of Boyertown; grandchildren, Kristin J. Conrad, Jeffrey S., husband of Amber Gabel, Jonathan husband of Shelby Gabel and Matthew D. Gabel, Joel R., husband of Perry Frain and Todd M. husband of Adrian Frain; great-grandchildren, Mason J. and Colin J. Gabel, Evelyn C., Elizabeth P., Trevor J., Norah J. and Charlie L. Frain; his brother, Jack S. Frain and two sisters Jean S. Moyer and Barbara A. Dotts. He was predeceased by his brothers, Howard S. and Richard S. Frain. Services will be held at the Linwood W. Ott 111 North Reading Ave. Boyertown, , May 28, 2015 at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown. Obituary: Evelyn M. (Schroeder) Frain, 86, wife of Robert S. Frain of Schlegel Road, Gilbertsville passed away on , 4, 2010 in her residence. Born in Pottstown she was the daughter of the late Mabel (Johnson) and William G. Schroeder. She was a 1941 graduate of Pottstown High School, a 1944 graduate of Pottstown Hospital School of and later received a nursing degree from West Chester State . Evelyn was a registered nurse at the former Pottstown Hospital and memorial hospital and she last worked at Pottstown Memorial Medical as orientation instructor for new nurses. She was a member of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boyertown and a former School Teacher. Evelyn was an avid bowler, involved in numerous leagues. She loved bingo and playing the organ. She was a former Gilbertsville Girl Scout Troop Leader. A member of the Pottstown Hospital Nurses Alumni Association and the Christian Fellowship at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Pottstown. Evelyn was a Red Cross volunteer. Surviving with her husband Robert S. of 66 years (married 14, 1944) are two daughters, Patricia A., wife of Gary L. Conrad of Malvern, PA and JoAnn, wife of Richard A. Magners of Martinsburg, WV; a son Robert B., husband of Kim Frain of Boyertown; five grandchildren, Kristin J. Conrad, Jeffrey S., Jonathan and Matthew D. Gabel, Joel R. and Todd M. Frain; two great-grandsons, Mason J. and Colin J. Gabel; three sisters, Mildred Stamp, twin sisters, Doris Hart and Betty Comtois; half-sister, Katherine Hill and a half-brother, John Schroeder.
