Obituary: Tom was born in Seattle, Washington, and died unexpectedly at his home in Albany, Oregon on 30, 2016. He was the only child of Dr. Trygve Ingolf Forland, and Georgette (Ziel). He grew up and spent most of his life in Santa Paula, CA. He was a happy, active child, and was well loved. He became a wonderful pianist, and a great tennis player. Tom loved cars, trucks, motorcycles, and boats, and worked in the Automotive Industry, but he saw himself as a Writer. He would write short stories, but he never pursued this as a vocation. He could have an astonishing word flow. Tom graduated from St Bonaventure High School in Ventura, and attended Whittier for one year as a Psychology Major. Tom enjoyed all good food, but was very fond of Sushi, Norwegian food, and donuts. He was very adventurous when he had someone to share the experience with him. Tom was also very sensitive, and enjoyed watching movies. He was a generous friend, helping in any way he could, and will be missed by many. He just wanted to be happy, and lead a comfortable life. He loved to laugh, and had a great sense of humor. Tom is survived by 3 half-sisters; Becky Forland, Sue and Nancy, 8 cousins; David, Dan, Steven, Christopher, Lee, and Rafe Forland, Jill Oderwald, & Kathy Hrdina, and many nieces, nephews, and spouses. There will be a memorial on 28, 2017 at the Albany, Oregon American Legion at 2pm, and a short gravesite memorial and burial at the Santa Paula in . Tom was cremated, and will be buried next to his Father. His Mothers ashes were dispersed over the Pacific Ocean. Instead of flowers, please donate to the worthy organization of your choice. Obituary: Forkner, Margaret Peg 90 04/03/1920 09/23/2010 Margaret Skeels was born 3, 1920, in Addy, Wash., to Robert and Annie Skeels. She grew up in Colville, Wash., during the Depression. "Peg" or "Peggy," as she was known to her friends and family, received her degree from Whit-worth (now University). Whitworth is also where she met her future husband, Vern Forkner. During World War II, Peg enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, and was a sergeant based at Twentynine Palms, in the Mojave Desert in California. Near the end of the war, Vern and Peg married, and they remained happily so for 65 years. Peg was both a home eco-nomics and sewing teacher, as well as a homemaker through-out her life. Peggys family, who misses her dearly, includes her husband, Vern; sister and brother, Annie and Kenny; daughter, Jo; son, Dean and his fianc‚e, Laura; granddaughter, Tasha and her husband, Chris; grandson, Nathan; granddaughter, Lexie; and great-granddaughter, Emma. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. , Sept. 29, 2010, in Smith Memorial Pres-byterian Church, 2420 N.E. Fairview Ave., Fairview, OR 97024. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Smith Memorial Presbyterian Church. under the direction of Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes, Portland, OR. |

Obituary: Oklahoma City, OK ~ Dorothy Dean Forister went to be with the Lord on , 14, 2010 at St. Anthonys Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dorothy was born in Quay, Oklahoma on 27, 1926 to Maude and Ira Wilson Collins. Raised and educated in Oklahoma, she attended beauty school and became a beautician. In 1949, Dort moved to Oregon, where she worked and taught cosmetology for 30 years. She was a long time resident of Sweet before moving back to Oklahoma in 2004. She loved canning, crochet, flowers and gardening, her family, fishing, clam chowder, shopping, scratch off lottos, cucumber and mayonnaise sandwiches. She also loved to laugh, and her bright smile will always be remembered and forever missed. Dorothy was loved and touched by everyone who knew her. Dorothy is preceded in death by her father Ira Wilson Collins; her mother Maude Collins; sister-in-law Margie Collins; brother Walter Dude Collins; nephew Scott Collins and brother-in-law Ron Blacklaw. She is survived by her husband, Orville Forister; loving daughters Jimmie Banta (Jim) of Halsey, OR; Rev.
