Obituary: Bessie Mae Murph Foster, 93, went home to be with the Lord on , 10, 2016. She passed away peacefully at Ashton Place & Rehab under the wonderful care of Hospice of Greensboro. She was loved by many special caregivers and friends at Ashton Place. A funeral service will be held on , 12 at 3:00 p.m. at Brick Reformed Church of Christ. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Foster will lie in repose at Loflin , 212 West Swannanoa Avenue, Liberty from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on . Bessie was the daughter of the late Jacob and Maggie Denny Murph and was also preceded in death by her wonderful husband, James Albert Foster and brother, John Murph and three sisters, Jennie Davis, Daisy Apple and Lena Brown. She is survived by one sister, Beatrice Blackard of Julian and many nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Brick Reformed Church of Christ, where she was a member, 3699 Brick Church Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or Hospice and Palliative of Greensboro 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405. Obituary: Barbara Jean Moody Foster, 66, passed away 26, 2014 at Forsyth Medical . A resident of this area all of her life, Barbara was born on 12, 1947in Guilford to Rev. Fred A. Moody and Betty Jean Brady. Barbara was of the Pentecostal faith and was a true believer of God. She had worked as a CNA and in elder care for many years. She was a very loving and kind person. She cherished the small things in life, especially the friendship of others; she never forgot to send a card to those she cared for. Her smile would light up a room and there will forever be a void in the lives of all of those who knew and loved her. Barbaras only desire was to live a life of kindness and humility. Surviving is her husband, Stanley Foster of High Point; her father, Rev. Fred Moody and his wife Rose of High Point; her mother, Betty Jean Brady of Burlington; her children, Wanda Davis and her husband Tim of Mt. Airy; Fred Cordial of King, Donna Ikner and her husband Ron of Linwood, and Lori Martin and her husband Randy of Lexington; and twelve grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Jeannette Harrell and her husband Freddie of High Point, Dorcas Perez and her husband Rob of Matthews, and Rachel Moody of High Point; special nieces, Jenny Coveleski of New Jersey and Dawn Manzaro of Raleigh. A private celebration of Barbaras life will be held for the family. Barbara will be laid to rest at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville. |

Obituary: Former West Lake Elementary Teacher & Author, Foster, Loses Cancer Battle Fuquay-Varina- Few can say theyve lived a life with no regrets. Fewer still can say it after 79 years of living. But I have no regrets; Ive lived a good life, were some of the first words uttered by author and former schoolteacher Barbara Warren Foster after learning she had advanced pancreatic cancer, which claimed her life on 9, 2014. What does a life without regret look like? According to s favorite Bible verse (Matthew 6:33) it looks like this: Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteous and all these things will be added unto you. began seeking after Gods kingdom at the age of nine while attending the First Baptist Church of Montezuma, Georgia, the city where she was born. That same year and season her husband, Lawrence Joseph Foster, professed his belief, nine years before they met. described meeting Larry as the most important highlight of her life. marked their 59th wedding anniversary. Throughout their journey, they were blessed with three daughters \ Denise Sabari, Rebecca Hartman, and Peggy Foster, who is probably in s arms now as spina bifida claimed her life at only five months old. is also survived by her sister, Mary Sanchez; brother, Richard Warren; four grandchildren, Mary Lewis, Joy Avila, Hope Hartman, and Justin Hartman; and two great-grandchildren, Jordan Sabari and McKenzie Lewis. s favorite song was When the Roll is Call Up Yonder. She answered the roll call in school every day for 12 years and then called roll as a teacher for 28 years. She said that just about every time, she thought to herself, Thank you, Lord, when you call the roll up yonder, Ill be there. And so she is.
