Obituary: Linda C. Frahm, 69, Lincoln, fought a brief but fierce battle with breast cancer leaving this life on 12, 2016. Born to Les and Lois Talbot in Lincoln on May 5, 1947, Linda graduated from Lincoln Public Schools and worked for Goodyear until her retirement. During the time she worked at Goodyear, Linda served as a volunteer on the Loan Committee, the Board of Directors, and eventually as President of the Lincoln Goodyear Employees Federal Credit Union. Following her retirement from Goodyear, she worked part-time for Aunt Patty’s Attic where she used her innate talent for interior design by creating beautiful floor displays. An avid watcher of HGTV and DIY networks, she designed many home and yard projects that her husband Larry then carried out according to her specifications. Her skills and discerning eye led to her home being photographed and featured in the magazine A Primitive Place. In 2015, Linda had numerous adventures on her first trip to New York City, including seeing the Lion King on Broadway and experiencing her first pedi-cab ride. In of this year, she was thrilled to attend her granddaughter Lindsey’s wedding. She enjoyed taking great care of her mother, Lois, who has always warned Linda (successfully, we might add) not to “get arrested,” and lovingly cared for her brother Tom during his time in hospice. She has been an incredible support system and role model for how to be a strong, resilient woman with a really powerful stink-eye to her daughters and granddaughters. Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Larry; mother, Lois Talbot; brother Marty Talbot; daughters, Lisa Scott (Ned Campbell), Gina Harman, Julie Frahm Robertson (Jon), and Sheri Stewart (Jon); five granddaughters, Lindsey Ansola-Crowley (Jon), Sydney Stewart, Laci Stewart, Rayn Robertson-Frahm, and Kaitlyn Campbell; five little dogs; in-laws and extended family; and, many loyal and loving friends. Preceded in death by her father, Leslie Talbot, and older brother, Thomas Talbot. We will miss terribly her laughter, guidance, problem-solving skills, love, and encouragement. “Her absence is like the sky, spread over everything.” (from C.S. Lewis, A Grief Observed).
