Obituary: Cynthia Schowengerdt Fincher, 68 of Higginsville, Missouri died on , 16, 2015, at point Medical in Independence, Missouri. Born , 9, 1947 in Warrensburg, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Henry Schowengerdt and the late Lois Mae (White) Schowengerdt. Cyndi lived most of her life in Higginsville and was a 1965 graduate of Higginsville High Shool. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ. She loved taking care of people and loved bowling. She owned and operated the Parkview in Higginsville for several years and then owned and operated the Plaza Bowl in Warrensburg. She most recently worked as a developmental assistant for the Higginsville Habilitation . She was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence H. Schowengerdt, Jr.; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Schowengerdt; and one grandson, Ralph Robles, Jr. Surviving are her husband, Howard Fincher of the home, daughter, Jennifer (Todd) Farmer of Higginsville, MO, brother, Richard Schowengerdt of Higginsville, MO, sisters, Barbara Bottemuller of Higginsville, MO and Shirley Wahn of Higginsville, MO; 3 grandsons, Zachary, Joey and Mathias Robles. A funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on , 20, 2015 at Salem United Church of Christ located at 1500 N. Main St. Higginsville, Missouri 64037 with the Rev. Dr. Tommy Faris officiating and Sharon Pragman as organist. Interment will be in City , Higginsville, MO. Pallbearers are Brian Wahn, Barry Bottemuller, Howard Fincher, Jr., Elvin Boone, Zachary Robles and Joey Robles. The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM on , 19, 2015, at Hoefer , 1600 Main St., Higginsville, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be sent to Wounded Warrior Project.
