Obituary: Patricia “Trisha” Caffey Forbes, a longtime resident of Millry, AL, born in Duck Hill, MS, died at her home on , 9, 2015. She was a young 78. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorris Taylor Caffey and Thomas Patrick Caffey of Ozark, AL. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James Robert Forbes. Three children: Laura L. Forbes of New York City, NY, Jamie McRae of Waynesboro, MS and Ann F. Sirmon (Danny) of Mobile, AL. Four grandchildren: Jennifer Colburn (Brandon), Kristin Williams, Forbes Sirmon and Katie McRae. One great-grandchild: Stella Colburn. Three brothers: Dr. Thomas Patrick Caffey, Jr. of La Jolla, CA, Dr. Taylor D. Caffey of Ozark, AL and Dr. Fred B. Caffey of Martinsville, VA. While living in Mississippi, Trisha volunteered with the Junior Auxiliary, United Methodist Women and served on the committee to develop the Special Education Reform for the State of Mississippi. In Millry, Trisha volunteered on several committees, in the Chatom area, with the United Way of Southwest Alabama and played piano and sang in the choir at Chatom United Methodist Church. Additionally, for the church, she served on many committees as well as a lay delegate to the annual conference for the Alabama/West Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church. Trisha loved the arts, singing, and playing the piano. Additionally, she enjoyed playing bridge, cooking, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, and traveling to many destinations around the globe. A celebration of her life will be held at Chatom United Methodist Church on , 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM CT at Chatom United Methodist Church. The Reverend Holly Morales will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM CT at the church. Obituary: . services will be held at 11 a.m. at Rainbow Church of Christ for Mrs. Sarah L. Foote, 97, Rainbow City, who passed away , 6, 2016. Minister Blake Jones will officiate with burial at Williams Southside Memorial Park. Collier-Butler and Cremation Services directing. Mrs. Foote was born in Morgan in 1918 to Alice Mae Newman Osborn and Jordan Freeman Osborn. Mrs. Foote graduated from Danville High School in 1936 and attended Florence State Teachers . She then worked for the L&N Railroad until marrying her husband, Gurnie Foote, in 1945. Soon the couple moved to Gadsden in 1946, where Sarah was an active partner in their furniture business. She lived most of her life on their farm in Whortons Bend and was a dedicated homemaker as well as a member of Whortons Bend makers Club. Sarah was a Charter Member of Rainbow Church of Christ, and helped establish the Etowah Prison Ministry, which continues today. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Gurnie H. Foote, her parents Alice and Jordan Osborn, brothers Harold, Jordan, Melvin (Buddy), Nealy, and Joe Osborn. She is survived by four daughters, Mary Alice Adams, Southside, Margaret (Bill) Campbell, Hartselle, Jane (Barry) Robinson, Gadsden, and Dr. Ruth (John) Brock, Ashville; nine grandchildren, Amy Adams, Ashley Starr, Birmingham, Abbey Mackey, Gadsden, Dr. Joshua (Brittany)Campbell, Gainesville, FL, Marah (Nick) Martin, Destin, FL., Will (Kai) Campbell, Jacksonville, FL., Alice Brock, Gadsden, Anna Brock (Ryan) DiLorenzo, Tuscaloosa, and John Henry Brock, Ashville. She also leaves behind three beloved great-grandsons, Campbell and Parker Martin, Destin, FL and William J. Campbell, Jr., Jacksonville, FL. Pallbearers will be grandsons and sons-in-law. The family would like to thank Mrs. Foote's wonderful caregivers at Regency Pointe and Camellia care. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorials be made to your favorite charity or Rainbow Church of Christ benevolence fund.
