Obituary: Marilyn F. Fischer peacefully went to be with her heavenly Father on 13, 2017. Marilyn was born on May 29, 1928 in Kansas City, Missouri to Carl and Eunice Schreiber. Marilyn was a loving mother and Grandmother. Her family was the center of her life. She was always there to listen and never judged, which was her greatest gift. graduating Salutatorian of her High School class, she held various positions at the Federal Government and TWA. She retired from Elkhart Foundry after 25 yrs. as the executive secretary to the President of the firm. She lived in Elkhart, Indiana for 41 years and moved to Fishers, Indiana in 2006. She resided at Hamilton Trace in Fishers. She is survived by her son Ronald Fischer (his wife Lynn) of Naples, Florida and daughter Lynn S Fischer of Fishers, Indiana. Her Grandchildren; Jeff Fischer (wife Shannon) and their children Kyle and Kaleigh of Dublin, Ohio, Aaron Fischer (wife Erin) of Carmel, Indiana and Lindsay Gibson (husband Jeff) and their children Marissa Ley, Cooper Ley and Isabella Gibson of Carmel, Indiana. Interment will be at Mount Moriah , Kansas City, Missouri next to her parents. A private Memorial Service to celebrate this amazing womans life will be held at a later date in Indianapolis, Indiana under the direction of Mt Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman , Kansas City, MO. |

Obituary: EvanLaura Katherine Fischer, 94, of Newburgh passed away , 1, 2015 at The Village at Hamilton Pointe. She was born 25, 1921 to the late Katherine and Carl Broderhausen. Laura was a devoted wife and mother. Her working career began as a switchboard operator in Inglefield. She later worked for a short time at Fendrich Cigar Co. In the late 1970s, she became a waitress at Country School Restaurant before spending over twenty years as a demonstration person at Sams Club where she retired in 2006 at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Sylvester; sisters, Mildred, infant twins, and Esther Bogan; brothers, Royce, Karl, Loren, Elmer, Herbert, and Edward Broderhausen; brother-in-law, Robert Mahan; and son-in-law, Paul Bicker. Laura is survived by sisters, Viola Mahan of Melber, KY; daughters, Carolyn Bicker of Troy, MO, Irene (Charles) Solomon of Newburgh, and Joan Fischer of Evansville; grandsons, Bryan (Deborah Lynn) Bicker and Ron (Debbie Sue) Bicker of Troy, MI, Michael (Darla) Solomon of Chandler, and Shawn (Anne Keefer) Solomon of Palmetto, FL; eight great grandchildren; and, three great great grandchildren. services will be 11:00 AM , 4, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1401 West Boonville New Harmony Rd., Evansville, IN 47725 with Rev. Stan Temme officiating and burial following in the church cemetery. Friends may visit 3:00 until 7:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel and 10:00 AM until service time at the church. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Roxanne, Erik, Donna, and Meeka at Hamilton Point. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church. Obituary: Harold Fischer 96 years walked through the gates of heaven on 4, 2016. Born in wood, IL. on 14, 1919 to Gustav and Caroline (Shultz) Fischer. Harold worked part time at Montgomery Ward during his high school years and graduated from Blue Island, high school. He married his high school sweetheart Eleanor (Schick). He was drafted into the army shortly after. He served 4 years including time in the Philippines with the rank of Staff Sergeant during WWII. When discharged he returned home and continued the start of his successful 36 year career with Wards. He moved his family later to Fort Wayne and helped bring in a new store in what is now called Northcrest Shopping , being the manager there turned into district manager of the Tri States area. Harold then went to St. Paul MN, the largest store in the country at that time. Later on, he moved back to Chicago to open another new store in Chicago heights. He married Norma (Brown) Canfield in 1974 and retired in 1976 at the age of 57. Together they started a new career - golf - for 36 years, spending their winters in Stuart, Fla. and summers in Fort Wayne. Harold and Norma played serious golf year around and he never would give her strokes, stating she didn need them, what fun! Harold was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for approximately 60 years. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Norma; son, Jim (Sue) Fischer of Stuart, Fla.; son, Jon (Vicki) Canfield of Fort Wayne; daughter, Barbara (David) Nichter of Fort Wayne; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister; first wife, Eleanor; daughter and son-in-law, Joan (Mike) Roemke; daughter, Jane Canfield; son,and daughter-in-law Mike (Mary) Fischer; and son, Don Canfield. Service is ,10:00 am, 9, 2016 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park , 1140 Lake Avenue with calling one hour prior. Calling also , 8, 2016, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
