Obituary: Joyce Foose 1937 ~ 2014 Joyce Halderman was born 20, 1937 in Trenton, NJ to Alfred and Lillian Halderman. She had four brothers and one sister. Joyce graduated from Trenton High School in 1955. Joyce married Dave C. Foose in 1956, together they had three children. She resided in PA, WY, WA and Idaho. Obituary: Dave Foose was born 5, 1935 in Morrisville, Pennsylvania to Florence and John Foose. He had four brothers and three sisters. Dave married Joyce Halderman in 1956, together they had three children. He resided in PA, WY, WA and Idaho.Together Dave and Joyce were active in both Mason and Shrine organizations. Dave owned his construction company, Foose Construction located in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He was in business for over 20 years. He also worked in Idaho in construction and as a security officer. He enjoyed camping, dancing and going to the ocean with his family. He passed away at his home in Boise, Idaho from Mesothelioma Cancer on 26th, 2015. He is survived by his children, Dave C. Foose, Jr, Daniel Foose, both of Boise, Donna Fung and husband Terry of WA; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Foose. Dave will be greatly missed. Obituary: R. Ross Fontes died at the age of 78 on 25, 2015 at his ‘happy place in Lowman, Idaho. Ross, the oldest of three children, grew up in and attended elementary, middle and high school in Boise, Idaho. At 17 years old, he got a job working with Pioneer Masonry working on Boises Capital building restoration. That led him to move to Seattle, Washington in 1953 to work at and eventually co-own Pioneer Masonry Restoration. This is where racing became lifes ambition for Ross. In 1970 he began racing open wheel cars then onto Sprint and Supermodifieds. He won the Skagit Championship in 1971, 72 and 73. In 1972, he won the inaugural Dirt Cup. In 1973 he was named the Everett, Washington Man of the Year in Sports. He also earned the Orval the Clown award in Skagit and was elected to the Golden Wheels Hall of Fame. He won many races in the King Crab and Tea Bucket cars in the 70s and 80s on both dirt and asphalt. In the 80s he was President of NSRA. No doubt he is most recognized for his renowned #99 car. He had a need for speed even during the off-season where youd find him racing snowmobiles or enduro-motorcycles. He loved the outdoors including camping, hunting and doing anything that including working with his hands. In 1975, he married Sharon Gift Fontes and the two families merged. When he retired in 1998 from Pioneer, he and Sharon moved to Star, Idaho. Ross built a cabin with a shop twice the size of the entire living quarters in Lowman, Idaho where he could escape from the city to work on anything mechanical…as long as his hands were messy he was content. Lowman is where ‘The great wall of Lowman was built and remains one of his many legacys of his workmanship on his property. In 2005 he built a custom 1936 Ford Hot Rod Pickup and took it to a couple of local roadster shows just for fun and plain ole camaraderie. Ross is survived by his wife, Sharon, four children Danny Fontes of Twin Falls, ID, Vickie (Tony) Lawrence of Emmett, ID, Connie (Stan) Williams of Eagle, ID and Julie (Al) Casarez of Seattle, WA and one step daughter, Tracy May of Star, ID. He has 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grand children whom called him Opa. A son, Michael Fontes, his father Raymond Rufus Fontes, his brother Tom Fontes and his sister Judy Fontes Lansing, preceded Ross in death. We call him the Patriarch of the family as he was very studious in ensuring our get togethers, reunions and even carrying on the familys mine history in Stanley, Idaho. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. His giant, warm smile will be forever cherished and fondly missed by his family, friends and even complete strangers. Per Rosss wishes, no services will be held, rather, a tribute to his memory and pictures can be shared for the family to enjoy via Facebook at Ross Fontes #99. Obituary: Mary Mancuso Folger, 84, of Eagle, Idaho left her earthly home , 24, 2015. Rosary Service will be at 7:00pm evening, 5th, at Cloverdale . Mass will be celebrated at 2:00pm , 6th, at Holy Apostle Catholic Church in Meridian, Idaho. Interment to follow at Dry Creek . Mary graduated from South High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Frank Folger, the love of her life, in 1949. In the early years of their marriage, they lived in Ely, NV. In 1953, they moved to Boise where they settled in to start raising their family. With Frank dedicated to his career, Mary spent the next 15 years raising her five children and providing the unconditional love that only a mother can give. Once Mary had successfully instilled unwavering, lifelong principles in her children, it was then that Mary began her working career. Mary worked in retail for The Merc, Brookovers, and Angletons. Mary then worked for and retired from Idaho Power. She lived in Eagle for 32 years and then spent a short time in Coeur dAlene, ID and Spokane, WA before returning back to Boise earlier this year. Mary was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart, St. Marks, and Holy Apostle Catholic Churches. For many years, Mary was a member of the Bishop Kelly Booster Club and the Boise State Bronco Athletic Association. In her younger years, Mary was active in Boises Performing Arts program, singing and dancing in live theater performances. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Carmen and Carolina Mancuso and her husband Frank, to whom she was married for 56 years until his passing in 2005. She is survived by her children: Christy and Pat Kimmel, of Cascade, ID, Jerry and Susan Folger, of Coeur dAlene, ID, Karen and Pat Towne, of Eagle, ID; Norm and Lora Folger, of Keller, TX; and Dave and Suzan Folger, of Spokane, WA. Mary shared her unconditional love with her 14 grandchildren: Cory, Bryan, Nathan, Kyle, Derek, Lindsey, Kara, Anthony, Erika, Megan, Katie, Ben, Josh, and Elizabeth. Mary was over the moon with her 9 great grandchildren: Mason, Morgan, Waylon, Van, Allie, Kassi, Ella, Elena, and Maddie. Simply put, Mary adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was their Nana and GG, and they were her everything in the latter years of her life. Mary is also survived by all of her wonderful siblings living in Salt Lake City, UT: Lauretta Edlefsen, Ross Mancuso, Teresa Thornton, Carmen Mancuso, Jim Mancuso, and Cathy Rogers, as well as numerous brothers and sisters- in-law, nieces, and nephews. Mary was the very caring and loving matriarch of our family. She is leaving behind a fantastic legacy centered on faith and family. She will be dearly missed, but her love and values will remain with us forever. Marys hobbies included golf and a passion for her Boise State Broncos. Mary and Frank were long time Boosters and fans and traveled to away games and bowl games. Mom, we thank you for the love and memories you are leaving with us. Your family loves you very much and are comforted in knowing that you are now enjoying a Heavenly spaghetti meal with your Beloved Paco.
