Obituary: Virginia Ann (Curtis) Flinn, 91, died peacefully on May 10, 2016 at the Founders Crest Comfort in Wichita, KS. She suffered from a major seizure on 19, 2016 from which she was unable to recover. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Comfort staff of Wichita, KS for the excellent care they provided these past two years. Virginia was born to the late Lola & Roy Curtis on 11, 1925 in Hiawatha, KS. She attended Salina High School in Salina, KS until the last part of her senior year when the family moved to Hutchinson, KS. She graduated from Hutchinson High School. Virginia met her husband of 53 years, Clarence Byron Flinn, during high school. married on 1, 1942, shortly before he was inducted into military service. the war, work kept them on a frequent moving cycle. Those that knew Virginia, aka Skeeter by her family & friends, knew she would move herself every year, if the company didn ; maybe thats why she became a real estate agent. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, a brother RC Curtis and a sister Donnie Catron. Virginia moved to St. Simons Island, GA upon the death of her husband in 1995 and lived there until 2003 when she moved to Wichita, KS. She returned to St. Simons from 2007 to 2010 before returning to Wichita. She is survived by three daughters, Christina Ann Taylor (Brent) of SSI GA, Kathleen Marie McFarlane (Ron) of Wichita KS and Peggy Lee Hoff (Bill) of Jacksonville FL; a sister, Mary Jane Holloway (Terry) of Minnesota, a brother, Edward Curtis of Culver Indiana; nine grandchildren, Mark Highland (Amy), Mary Rhodes (Stephen), Lola Pfeifer (Jason), Annie Dayhuff (Clint), David Pritchett, Bill Hoff Jr. (Jennifer), Matthew Hoff (Andrea), Brian Hoff (Amy), David Hoff; by 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Virginia loved her family with an everlasting heart. She was devoted to her Lord and Savior and we know she is finally at with Him. She will be dearly missed and loved by all her family and friends. A grave site service will be at 12:00 noon on May 14, 2016 at the Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens on St. Simons Island with the Rev. Bill Hoff officiating. Obituary: Mrs. Rebecca Turner Westmoreland Flinn, 89, of Woodstock, GA passed away 20, 2016. Rebecca earned her Masters degree in Education from the University of Mississippi. She enjoyed a long career teaching high school math at South Cobb High School. her retirement, she spent 3 years in the Peace Corps, teaching other teachers to teach math in Antigua. She was a very strong and faithful woman. Rebecca was a loving mother and generous to a fault. She had a strong faith in God and was an active member at Brightstar United Methodist Church and recently a member of Bascomb UMC. She was preceded in death by 2 husbands, James Thomas Westmoreland Jr. and Les Flinn and her daughter, Janie Westmoreland. Rebecca leaves behind her sons, James Thomas Westmoreland, III (Diana), Philip Westmoreland (Jeanne) and Paul Westmoreland, grandchildren, Jennifer, Gabriel, Philip, Jessica, Chris and Kory, sister, JoAnn Willis, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Obituary: Mrs. Rosemary Ann Fling-Little, 62, of LaGrange passed away , 4, 2016 at West Georgia Hospice. Mrs. Little was born 30, 1953 in LaGrange, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Daniel Emmett Fling and Elizabeth Luck Fling. Mrs. Little worked at Fling Insurance Agency agent with her family as an insurance agent for over thirty years until her retirement earlier this year. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of LaGrange and a graduate of LaGrange . She was known to all as a helpful, loving and compassionate person who was always willing to lend a hand. She knew her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and He provided her with a servants heart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Carlton Little Sr. of LaGrange, and younger sister, Dana Fling Henson of LaGrange. Survivors include two children, Joseph Carlton (Cindy) Little Jr. of Pine Mountain and Danielle Little (Thomas) Stanley of LaGrange; three step children, Karla (Nolan) Childs of Griffin, Michelle Little of Griffin, and Jeffery Gill of Mississippi; two sisters, Ellen Fling (Rob) Danner of Macon, GA and Gayle Fling (Doug) Middlebrooks of Covington, GA; eleven grandchildren, Garner and Alivia Little, Mason Little, Harlie Gill, Savannah and Trinity Wohler, Tyler, Hannah, Amber and Wesley Conklin, one due in of 2017; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. services will held 11:00 A.M. , 7, 2016 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Reverend Mabry Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn where she will be laid beside her beloved husband. The gathering of family and friends will be on from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
