Obituary: William Billy Eichner, 64, of South Windsor, beloved husband of Diane Lynn (Kurth) Eichner, died unexpectedly on 5, 2016 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Billy was born on 21, 1951 in Hartford, CT, son of the late Joseph William and Hulda (Klein) Eichner. Billy grew up in Coventry and was a graduate of Coventry High School. He served our country during Vietnam with the U.S. Navy in the Submarine Service. He worked for over 30 years at Teleflex in Coventry, where he retired as Plant Manager in 2010. He was a dedicated member of the American Legion in South Windsor. Billy was a member of the NRA and served as a range safety officer. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and was a member of the Eastern CT Sportsmans Club, the Windham Fish & Game Club and the CT Federation of Bass Anglers Sportsmans Society. He had a passion for classic cars and loved to show cars and attend classic car shows. He was also a member of the National Association for Amateur Radio. A kind, caring and devoted husband, father, brother and friend to many, he will be greatly missed. Along with his wife, Diane, he leaves his daughter, Katie Johnson of Orange, TX, his brother, Steven Eichner and his wife Joann of Columbia; his step children, David Riollano of Plantsville and Patrick Duggan and his wife Whitney of New York, NY; his mother-in-law, Carmel (Raimondi) Kurth of East Hartford and his sisters-in-law, Jean Kurth Zubretsky of South Windsor and Maryann Garza and her husband Lorenzo of Windsor. Obituary: Robert Eichler, 60, of Vernon, passed away at Rockville General Hospital, on , 25, 2016. Born in Hartford on 21, 1955 Robert was proud to say he grew up in the New London, Ledyard area of Connecticut before the Casinos were built. He lead a very lively and full life, those who knew him all agreed he was quite the character. He had the gift of gab and could strike up a conversation with anybody; he was well traveled, visiting just about every state you could get to by way of car or bus. He was an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Yankees. He was also a friend of Bill W. Obituary: Louise (Marranzino) Eichinger, age 88 of Clinton passed away morning, 13th at Watrous in Madison. Louise was the beloved wife of the late Albert T. Booty Eichinger who passed away in 1984. She was born in Bridgeport, daughter of Alessandro and Anna (Luciano) Marranzino. Louise had resided in Clinton with her daughter Nancy Kelly and her family, moving from Killingworth where she had made her home since 1982. Prior to being a resident of Killingworth she had been a resident of Milford for thirty years. Louise had a long working career that included working in a factory in support of the War effort during World War II, Head Pastry Chef at Milford High School, and worked in a chocolate shop for twenty three years designing and packaging chocolates of every kind. She was a devoted communicant of Saint Lawrence Church and supported her church in many ways including being Father OHaras personal cook, organizing both the spring and fall rummage sales for seventeen years, always helped at the church strawberry festival and Christmas fair. She loved to collect Teddy Bears and speak fluent Pig Latin. Besides her daughter Nancy, she leaves her daughter Gail Eichinger-Schwartz and her husband Skipp of Guilford, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three sisters, Marie Massaro, of Shelton, Isabel and Martha Marranzino, both of Westport. She was predeceased by her grandson, Clayton Kelly, son-in-law, Alan Kelly , brother, Thomas and sister Connie. As Louise wrote to her family the best part of my life was marrying my husband Albert, delivering two wonderful daughters Nancy & Gail who in time blessed me with grandchildren and great grandchildren. I was blessed with a loving and caring family. Visitation will be held on , 16th at Saint Lawrence Church, 7 Hemlock Drive in Killingworth at11AM until the Celebration of her Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon. Obituary: Carleton Eichelberg, 85, of Uncasville, peacefully crossed over to the spirit land on , 7, 2015 at his home. He was born on 20, 1929 to Albert and Lucille (Fielding) Eichelberg. graduating from NFA in 1947 he enrolled in New London Business and graduated with an associates degree in business. In 1948 he joined the U.S. Naval Reserve and on 30, 1951 he married his high school sweetheart Phyllis Martin. Carleton volunteered for active duty in 1952 and graduated from Submarine School at Groton; he then served on the USS Toro during the Korean War. He worked for various contractors as a carpenter, including Electric Boat. In 1963 he transferred to EBs purchasing department. he left EB in 1977 he went to work as a construction engineer for the Water Pollution Control Authority in Waterford and stayed there until he retired in 1994. Carleton was a member and Sagamore of the Mohegan Tribe and served as chairman of the Council of Elders until 1999. During his tenure on the Council he visited many Indian reservations. Carleton had a great love of history and one of his most memorable experiences was his visit to the Navajo Code Talkers Memorial. He served as President of the Montville High School Athletic Booster Club, spent 7 years with the Babe Ruth League and served on one of Montvilles school building committees. He was a member of the Mohegan Congregational Church and served as the Church Council moderator and deacon. He was a member of the Montville Polish Club, Oxoboxo Lodge of Masons and American Legion. He joined the Montville Lions Club in 1972 and served as Secretary and President of the Montville club, Zone Chairman, Regional Chairman, District Governor, and Multiple District Council Chairman. During his rewarding career as a Lion he also served on many of the clubs committees. He received the International President Leadership Award, the Knight of the Blind Award, and Lions Club International Melvin Jones Award. Carletons family includes his wife of 63 years, Phyllis (Martin) Eichelberg of Uncasville, one son, Kurt and his wife Ruth Ann, of Gales Ferry; one daughter, Sandy Eichelberg, and her husband Ron Benedict, of Uncasville; three grandchildren, Kyle, Kirsten and David Eichelberg; several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother Everett Eichelberg. His interests included hunting, fishing, gardening, golfing, woodworking, and traveling with his wife and family. He was a founding member of the Cochegan Bowmen Archery Club and served as president. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, New York Giants, UCONN Husky Men and Womens basketball teams and Connecticut Sun basketball team. Carleton was very devoted to his family and attended countless baseball, football and basketball games, horse shows and concerts to support family activities. The family would like to thank Dr. Jorge Dabdoub for his wonderful care. Many thanks also to the nurses at Backus Hospital and to the entire staff of Hospice Southeastern Connecticut.
