Obituary: Dr. Ronald Eugene Engelmohr passed away , 5, 2015. He was born on 13, 1950 in Kansas City, KS, and spent his childhood in the metro KC area. He graduated from Paseo High School in 1968, and served in the Navy from 1968 to 1972, where he was an air traffic controller on the USS Bonhomme Richard. Ron later pursued his dream of becoming a chiropractor and attended Texas Chiropractic . Following his 1993 TCC graduation, he worked at a clinic in Austin, returned to TCC as an instructor, and joined Advanced Clinic in Corpus Christi in 1999. Dr. Ron will be remembered for his generosity, love and devotion to family, his witty sense of humor, and love of classic muscle cars. He actively participated in the Reguladores LEMC - Corpus Christi motorcycle club, as well as the Coastal Bend Mustangs and Fords Club. He and Loni particularly enjoyed their getaway trips to Vegas, baby. He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew. Dr. Ron is survived by his wife, Loni; his daughter, Jennifer Keeth; his mother, Barbra (Roy) Runyon; his brother, Gary (Sara) Engelmohr; his sister, Janie (David) Gates; his mother-in-law, Gloria (Neil) Planzer; seven grandsons; and one great-granddaughter. Visitation will begin 1 hour before the funeral. services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., , 14, at Seaside . Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans . Pallbearers will consist of family members and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Corpus Christi Food Bank or Paralyzed Veterans. |

Obituary: Ralph M. Engelmann, 67, of Station passed away at Memorial Hermann Hospital , 25, 2014. The family will receive friends from 5:30 \ 7:30 p.m. , 28 at Memorial Chapel in Station. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Parkway Baptist Church, 1501 Southwest Parkway, Station with Pastor Chris Snidow and Dr. Jim Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial of Station, 3800 Raymond Stotzer Parkway. Ralph was born 15, 1946 to Ernst Sr. and Alice Engelmann in Austin, Texas. He graduated from Pflugerville High School in 1964 and attended Texas A&M University as a Corps of Cadet member his freshman year. Ralph graduated in the class of 1968 and received his Veterinary Degree from Texas A&M in 1969. Ralphs military service as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force, he worked for the USDA Food Safety Inspection Service for 35 years. Ralph loved God with all his heart and was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. He also loved working in the yard, but his three beautiful granddaughters (who called him Pappy) were the light of his life. Ralph is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ernst Engelmann, Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Schults. Ralph leaves behind his loving wife of 45 years, Cindy Engelmann; son, Mark Engelmann; daughter, Michelle Jackson and husband Ken; daughter, Lisa Cowan and husband Jay; granddaughters, McKenna Jackson, Hailey Cowan and Hannah Jackson; sister, Rose Janke and husband Gene; sister, Margaret Schults; and sister-in-law, LaVerne Engelmann. |

Obituary: Marilyn Joan Byrd Engelking (nee Mayer) died in San Antonio, Texas on , 19, 2014. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on 21, 1926 and was preceded in death by her parents, George Mayer and Helen Wall Mayer; and brother, Thomas Mayer. Survivors include her beloved husband of 40 years, Donald Joseph Engelking; son, Mark Byrd and wife Rita; and grandson, Austin Byrd of Beach Park, Illinois; daughter, Linda Byrd Hunt of San Dimas, California; stepdaughter, Margaret Engelking and husband, Hal Lloyd; granddaughter, Georgia Lloyd of San Antonio; stepdaughter, Susan Engelking Rosenberg; granddaughter, Joely Rosenberg; and grandson, Jack Rosenberg; stepdaughter, Marion Engelking Delarosa Douglas and husband, Paul; grandson, Joseph Delarosa; granddaughter, Rachel Douglas; brother, Gerald Mayer and wife, Dorothy of Palos Verdes, California. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Marilyn loved to travel and after finishing her education at the age of 21, applied for a position with the US Army in Heidelberg, Germany. This began her 30 year Civil Service career with the US Army. two years, she returned to work in Illinois at HQ Fifth US Army in Chicago and Fort Sheridan, Illinois. The merger of Fourth and Fifth US Armies brought her to Fort Sam Houston in 1971 (where she met her husband, Don). Both civil service employees, they transferred to Fort Monroe, Virginia in 1974. In 1978, they began what was to be a seven-year assignment in Heidelberg, Germany (where they traveled extensively), returning to San Antonio in 1985. Marilyn retired from Fort Sam Houston in 1990 and began devoting volunteer time to Texas preservation issues. She was an active member of the San Antonio Conservation Society (having served on the Board of Directors, and the Executive Committee). Marilyn also gave many volunteer hours to NIOSA, and to St. Lukes Green Door Thrift Shop. She is a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church, the San Antonio Historical Association, and the Society for the Preservation of Historic Fort Sam Houston, and an associate member of the Professional Tour Guide Association of San Antonio. Marilyn treasured her many friendships. In addition to travel, her hobbies, included reading, the theater, movies, playing bridge, dining out in restaurants, and enjoying an occasional Grey Goose vodka Martini.
