Obituary: Velma Sue Estep Cox Bastrop, Louisiana BASTROP, LA. services for Mrs. Velma Sue Estep will be held 10:00 a.m. , 6, 2014 at the Chapel of Cox of Bastrop, Louisiana. Reverend Dalyn Helbling will officiate the services. Interment will be at Memorial Park of Bastrop under the direction of Cox . Velma Sue Estep was born 7, 1930 to the late Robert Harvey Perry and Ollie Kemp Perry. She passed away peacefully on 3, 2014 at The Terrace of Bastrop. Mrs. Estep was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, George Ervin Estep, Jr. Mrs. Sue Estep was a lifelong member of the First Church of God of Bastrop where she served as a school teacher, choir member, and youth leader for many years. She was also a faithful Prayer Warrior. Mrs. Estep enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and attending ballgames of her sons and grandsons. An excellent cook, she received much enjoyment preparing and serving her family dinners. Her kindness and gentleness were a blessing to her family and many friends. She is survived by her four sons, Kenneth Wayne Estep and his wife, Cheryl, Danny Bruce Estep, Michael Lynn Estep and his wife, Laverne, all of Bastrop, Louisiana and George Doug Estep and his wife, Jerri of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is also survived by her twin brother, Elmer Perry of Marion, Kentucky; a sister, OZ Yates of Bastrop, Louisiana; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Gayle Johnston of Bastrop. Serving as pallbearers are Doyle Jinks, Kenny Estep, Chad Estep, Randy Estep, Jodi Perry, and Rick Cook. The family will receive friends , 5, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cox of Bastrop. Obituary: The Greens The love story between Estelle Mitchell and Rushing Butler Green began when they met at a cake walk held at his home in the spring of 1938. A few months later, on , 22, at 8PM, they were married. R.B. and Estelle spent the last few days of their life on this earth at their home in Rayville in hospital beds side by side. continued to encourage one another, sing songs to one another and assure the other of how much they were loved. R.B. passed away first and less than 12 hours later Estelle joined him. Life here for one without the other was impossible. Estelle was born in Hebert, LA on 3, 1921. R.B. was born in Morton, MS on 6, 1917. He served in the US Army during WWII. He managed the Farm Service Agency in Rayville until he retired at age 57. He then began farming with his two sons. Estelle was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her life revolved around family. She spent a lot of her time nurturing the family, gardening and sewing for her two daughters. The couple raised four children, Judy McKinstry Morgan, husband, Del; Annette Brown, husband, Mark; R.B. Green, Jr, wife, Kathy, and Raymond Green, wife Lisa. Tootsie and Papa were blessed with eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Obituary: Linda Sousa Estelle, of Denham Springs, passed away , 23, 2014 at Baton Rouge General Medical after complications following a massive heart attack. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by her loving family and friends. Linda was born 1, 1946, in Akron, Ohio to the late Vesta Barnhart Sousa and Joseph Sousa Jr. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, generous grandmother, and fun aunt. She loved life, her family, and her friends. Linda was always the life of the party and quite often the reason for the party. She loved hosting family and holiday gatherings at her home. Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Greely Walter (G.W.) Estelle. She is survived by her two sons, Shawn and Phillip; two sisters and brothers-in-law, JoAnn Whitehead and Leroy, Christy Bourgeois and Jimmy; six grandsons, Orry, Shane, Trent, Rhett, and their mother Michelle, Blake and Dylan and their mother Stephanie. Linda is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews: Kari Boyer and Mark, Lori Minsky and Louis, Brent Whitehead and Catherine, Chanda Dickerson and Joel, Amanda Bourgeois and Joey Norris, Kyle Bourgeois and Amber and a friend and cousin Betty Nielsen. The family would like to thank Bobby Sims, a special friend, for making the last months of her life very happy. Special thanks to the Baton Rouge General Medical Critical Unit for the wonderful care and love shown to her and her family. Linda will be deeply missed by all of us.
