Obituary: Peter Deszo Demetsky, of Naples, FL, passed away peacefully on 15, 2015, at Naples Community Hospital after a brave battle with lung cancer. Loving husband of Kathleen Cassie (Kirk) Demetsky and proud father of Devin Peter Demetsky. Pete was born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Deszo and Elizabeth (Takacs) Demetsky on 17, 1945. He lived in the Brentwood section of Pittsburgh and graduated from St. Wendelins High School in 1963. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. degree in Psychology in 1967. college, Pete joined the U. S. Army and graduated from Officer Candidate School, Ft. Benning, GA, 1969. He served his country well in Trang Bang, Vietnam, achieving the rank of 1st Lieutenant; he was awarded the Bronze Star. Pete was hired by Ford Motor in 1971. His career spanned a total of 34 & 1/2 years working in the field of Sales and Marketing both for the Ford and Lincoln Mercury Divisions. He had a strong work ethic never missing a days work! Pete is proud of the friendships that he made both at Ford Motor and the Ford and Lincoln Mercury dealerships. As a member of the The Classics Country Club in Lely Resort, Pete made many close friendships. He was an honorary member of the New Jersey Professional Golf Association and a member of the University of Pittsburgh Alumni Association. He is the brother of Michael (Johnnie) Demetsky; brother-in-law to Martin and Maureen Napolitano; Annette and Andrew Yurcisin; Denny and Elvira Kirk; and Mary and Jeff Durgee; he is also survived by nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. On , 18, a viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Fuller , 4735 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, FL 34112. A Mass will follow at 12:00 PM at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5130 Rattlesnake Hammock Road, Naples, FL 34113. Following Mass, a luncheon will be held in Petes honor at The Classics Country Club at 1:00 PM in Lely Resort. Many thanks to all the medical staff who worked so tirelessly to help Pete through his medical condition. Your work was much appreciated by Pete, Cassie, and Devin. Special thanks to Mark Rubin, M.D. for all his care. Pete will be greatly missed by all those close to him, yet his spirit will live on.
